Character Summary:
My name is Laboy Lorenzo. My friends call me "Diego". I grew up on Planet Crete in Omicron Gamma with two brothers.One brother worked as an engineer at Tripoli Shipyard. I moved with my brother to Cadiz Base Omega-5 system. From there we made raids on Bretonnian convoys and, most importantly, drank rum.We spent 5 years there having fought the Armed Forces many times.After my brother died in a fight with a Rheinland Military patrol in the Omega-7 system here we had data on valuable cargo. I decided to return to the planet Crete in order to smuggling the most valuable of items without any legal ramification.

Why do you want to join DTR:
I want to serve my family. I want to take on challenges, cooperate with my brothers. I want to take part in transport and mining missions.

Name: Libra

Character Summary: Libra, born and raised on Crete, always wearing a set of beige colored robes, which's coloration is close to that of a Corsair Titans hull, with a striking dark purple hood, is an enigmatic engineer and scientist at first. Tired of the daily life on Crete and the insufficient second and oftentimes third-grade samples of various pieces of technology that are being brought back, Libra seeked the stars for glory, honor, worthwhile materials for research and engineering and of course most importantly for the Imperio. With a few fellow amigos Libra opened a small but efficient smuggling ring exporting artefacts and xeno relics from Crete and adjacent sectors to finance the steadily growing interest in engineering vessels and repurposing and adapting new technologies. Recently Libras focus has been shifted onto various artificial intelligences, in particular those found around Omicron Kappa, Delta and Pi.

Why do you want to join DTR: Quite simple, DTR is a great gateway towards prosperity for the Imperio. If all efforts are pooled together we can surpass our lesser bretheren in Omicron Alpha by a considerable margin and assure lasting dominance over the Omicrons as a whole while harnessing and developing novel technologies.

What activities do you enjoy in Freelancer: Surprisingly Libra developed a knack for escort duty in convoys and prefers a hands-on approach. If something needs to be done the right way it needs to be done by oneself after all. Second of course theres glory in combat. And most importantly, collection of various pieces of technology to study and perhaps one day reverse engineer. As for trading? It is a craft yes, but it is a means to finance nothing more, nothing less.

Carmen Elena 'Silver' Quintana of Clan Quintana

Character Summary:

Personality: Carmen is a woman much alike a prism. Within her is the warrior spirit of her clan and people. She took her trials and won her match within the Aptera Arena. Proving she was worthy to be called Corsair. Yet, she is a gentle and passionate woman in all things nature and the pursuit of her people's well being and proliferation. It is her and her clan's belief that the Corsair people cannot stand idle upon their barren world. It must be invigorated and given spirit.

Her dream is that of seeing Crete become green. A paradise where her people can flourish and take their strength further into the stars. Be it spreading through Sirius or outward. Claiming new territories yet to be explored.

When around her kin, she is a woman of joy, mirth, revelry, and encouragement. During her time among the stars, engaging with fellow warriors or those who might oppose the Imperio, she is what some of her fellow pilots have called, 'A Warrior Skald'. Rousing her kin to greater feats with bold and energizing shouts and speeches or instilling terror or doubt in the hearts and minds of those who face her and her people.

If one is neutral with the Empire, then she will greet them warmly, but with a sternness indicating she knows full well their place in the grand scheme of the Imperio and that they should not forget it themselves. Though, any foreigners who earn her trust, will be treated well and with open friendliness.


Appearance: Aside from her deep personality, there is one trait that marks Carmen perhaps even more. A rare genetic disorder: Oculocutaneous albinism. Though disorder, it has in a fortunate twist, given her a striking appearance.

Skin most fair. Silver hair shimmering like a ghostly mirage. Haunting pale silvery eyes like that of a barghest. Many a suitor had found themselves enthralled or intimidated by her piercing gaze and unearthly appearance. Likening her to a ghost or some spirit of the Creten wilderness come to ensnare their souls.

Despite the haunting appearance, the disorder has one significant drawback. She is more sensitive to sunlight exposure and associated skin-cancers. Thus, Carmen is careful not to overdo her time outdoors. At least, not without proper skin protection. Thus, she's often seen wearing full-body outfits, sun-glasses, and brimmed-hats when outdoors.

When not forced to take protective measures, one will see her medium-long silver hair. Always kept loose and flowy, unless prepped to fly. Then she keeps it in a pony-tail. She prefers casual clothing, but is still comfortable in her flight-suit.


Background: Descendant from Clan Quintana, Carmen is seen as the Prime Heir and its Scion. Though she does not think of herself as anything special, she is however, proud to uphold her Clan's traditions and honor. As well as that of the Imperio.

For much of Clan Quintana's history, they were a minor faction of warriors. However, as the Corsairs began to expand beyond the bounds of being mere pirates, members of the clan began realizing the core issue that has haunted Corsairs for centuries, must be solved once and for all or else the empire would find itself constrained by its inability to feed its growing numbers. Thus, the clan began a culture shift. Fostering the sciences as its priority. While Clan Quintana still produces fine warriors, they have however become one of the foremost in the field of ecology, terraforming, and all food related sciences. Intent upon securing the food safety of their people.

Unsurprisingly, her clan's heart-felt focus, had a large impact upon Carmen as she grew up.

Since she was a little girl, Carmen has had a dream. To one day see Crete become green. As she grew older, she realized such a prospect is not something she'd likely live to see. Yet, its a dream she can pursue so her clan, her children, all Corsairs can eventually come to see. Fondly looking back and realizing it was because of her and Clan Quintana's efforts.

Thus, Carmen has committed herself to a dual-path. Taking to the stars to help safeguard the Empire and that of an ecologist. Looking to find sustainable ways to secure and utilize the resources to build green-houses, bio-domes, and anything else which might provide food security.

Why do you want to join DTR: I am looking for some Corsair RP, a good community for that RP and gameplay, and got recommended Deterrence. Looks like DTR has some cool people and so looking to join up to get involved.

What activities do you enjoy in Freelancer: Trading, Smuggling, Exploring, PvP (not all the time, but some pvp is nice), Looking to experience some capitol ship gameplay, and definitely looking for some good RP.
