So who makes this fighter? because if it is made by Rheinland lawfuls it should have a ##-ARKM-x# type of designation.

Also if it is made by Rheinland corporations exclusively it should say Rheinland Civilian SHF since, hey, the humpback is a civilian vessel but it still says Rheinland Freighter on it.

Hold on a second now...if you read the infocard for the Kiith 'Dacite' HF it speaks of the ship being designed to work Rheinland's diamond fields. I think it's safe to assume the entire Kiith line originated in Rheinland (it could probably be written more clearly into the infocards).

Also, nowhere does it state explicitly that the Kiith ships are "mining" vessels per se; the quotes from the infocards I find are
"this vessel is the ultimate in deep reconnaissance for civilian mining ventures in both pacified and hostile territory."
"well equipped to scout ahead of heavier craft to find the richest deposits of mineral ore"
"designed to scout those fields, and to thwart the vessels of those who comb them looking for prey"

As you can see, the Kiith are more designed to scout ahead and find/defend mining fields rather than do the grunt work themselves. I think the model you've got fits in perfectly with that description.

It's not made by Rheinland. There's no specific company that makes it, they're described as "independent mining vessels", and they're sold on IMG bases.

Edit: Cossack's too fast. Adding a response to him.

Fair point about the origin, hadn't thought about that.

However, I disagree about the mining detail:

"While history had seen many revolutionary steps since those early days, the usefulness of independent mining craft has remained undiminished. " - KS LF.

Well, if they plan on useing that model then they are, beyond a shadow of a doubt, of Rheinland origin.

Fair enough, but is anyone really gonna mine in the Kiith LF or the HF? (the SHF, I can definitely see used for mining, but as it stands there's not enough incentive to do so - but that's another argument). To me, the light and heavy fighters do the intel and the SHF is the real mining ship.

Looking at Jinx's model it looks like the ship would actually be pretty small judging from the huge cockpit. So perhaps this could go in as the Kiith light or heavy fighter, and for the SHF some serious bulk could be added to give it a "miner ship" feel. I would hate for this design to be a throwaway as it looks gorgeous and you could definitely build the Kiith line around it.

I like the first cockpit more but without the spikes.

I would, especially if my proposal to give the KS ships an appropriate mining bonus was accepted.

But then, I'm crazy.
