Have you seen their power usage per second. It even says in the infocard that while they deal more damage than average, they use more energy.
The Xeno class 9 weapon is the one that use the most energy per second.

The Kraken 2 does more DPS, uses less energy and has a higher refire rate than the Wyrm 2.
The Wyrm 2 could do with a smidge less energy usage, and the Kraken 2 could do with its energy usage being upped a bit, since low refire weapons are supposed to be more efficient than their more spammy high-refire counterparts.
By the by, what happened with the Ultra Sunrail? Less range, speed and damage than the Kraken 2, 70 more energy required per second. ???
