I honestly don't see the point of 'dropping' prices across the board, to me its a waste of time not only for the developers, but well, ok only the developers.

I am for a little realism, but remember, reality to Freelancer is like a black hole to an orange. The orange being reality. Freelancer eats reality and does whatever we theorize, but it mainly just crushes the bugger.

This is almost exactly what Mexico did with the peso in the late 90s. I am all for this, reduce everyones money and all the prices by a factor of 10, except for the battleships; that will make those ships even rarer, which will be nice. My only concern is that which has already been said, pirates continuing to tax in millions, but I think this will only be a temporary issue during the adjustment period; a few traders may die, but thats a sacrifice I am willing to make.

As long as there are traders, there a pirates, never one without the other. If one sees too many pirates, they get bored and may cross the fence.

You never know.

There will be a transition period where there will be a lot of confused pirates, but most pirates are not idiots and they will catch on relatively fast. So a few traders will die, but everything will eventually work out.
