Make both a ROC and an Eagle. Use all flashpoints and one debil on the Eagle with a nuke mine. Instant bomber hunter.

ROC will be a typical bomber. Your preference of weapons is your own. I suggest a SNAC and a Nova. CD is not needed.

you ever try killing someone with flashpoints? chances are the bomber will snac you as you stand in a straight line to actually hit him with the weakest gun in existance. Go with buckshots or houseguns, and let you ZOI reflect them.

No longer a slave to the man!

What else can he use? There is no civilian plasma cannon.

EDIT: Has the Vigilante ID changed? Can we dock on house bases and use house guns? Can we use Vampires? Furies?

EDIT EDIT: Oh, I see now.

I enjoy buying new ships and equipment and seeing if they suit. I understand my RP role, amd it's limitations. You are preaching to the wrong crowd.
Perhaps you should not be quite so quick to judge.

I don't believe I was judging. But since you evidently seem to be feeling froggy... I'll jump.

1. The ROLE which you are discussing is very difficult to pull off. (Hence my comment about sticking to it.)

2. The ID pretty much tells you EXACTLY what you can and cannot do [ship/equipment]. (So what's your boggle, dude?)

3. If I can help ANYONE on the server, advice, etc. I've done so, so let's not get our panties up in a bunch, shall we?

4. If YOU are so quick to go on the defensive about a piece of advice that is probably the number one concern of this type of server, Role Play... then I'd ask you (if you feel it doesn't apply to you), to kindly ignore it and carry on; OR did you want to be taken seriously?

Honestly, I wish you all the luck with your character, there is a lot of potential and I'll be looking forward to seeing you out there.

I'm way to lazy to read all those replies, so some/all things might have already been said.

' Wrote:Hi, I would like some advice, I have made a Vigilante character, but I am not sure what the best ship to procure is.
Do I get a Bomber, or a Fighter, and if so what would you, the Disco community recommend for me.
Now I would say the I am not the greatest pilot and not all the clever at PVP, mostly my character would scan vessels for contraband, and only hunt criminals occasionally.
So any advice you could send my way I would appreciate.

Hey mate,

It's good see somebody else trying to become a successful Vigilante. I myself have started one only recently to.
Although my character exists for a couple of months.

It's important you have a complete bio of your character. Also it's important that the reason why you've gone Vigilante is noted.
Your IFF has to fit your characters background, that counts for your ship and equipment as well.

I'll take mine Vigilante for example. He has been in the Universal for awhile, but he noticed how Liberty authorities failed to 'protect and serve' over and over, dear ones went missing, Slave trade was growing and Hackers were acting up. All with all, enough to go into retaliation. My character has already been a Vigilante in his bio, and now goes back due all those reasons.

When I'm in-game 90% just addresses me as Universal, as my ID is not visible. Of course everybody scans you and sees the ID so they do know what their dealing with, and good role players know how to interact with one.

But be repaired for some ockward situations. I've had people telling me to 'fix IFF' or officer thinking I would attack Hellfire Legion members. Yet I have not been shot by any lawful authority but thats probably a matter of time.

Now you said that 'you will -just- scan for contraband and kill pirates'. Yes thats basically what a Vigilante does, but theres more then -just- that. Have you also considered being in organizations like LSF? They are -supposed- to protect the borders from scum like that.
Reason why I say this is because it can be very lonely as Vigilante, and if you don't like three pirates shooting at you without backup you might want to reconsider.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me. Or contact me in-game my Vigilante's name is J.Adams

Enjoy.

Thanks mate.
I am working on my Bio and background story at the moment, I won't go into too much detail bit it involves a once hard working guy who loses his wife and daughter. They were on a passenger ship, what they did not know was that the Captain was also a small time smuggler. After being scanned by house police he ran and during a fire fight with his escorts the ship and all aboard were killed. So my character Blames Smugglers, Criminals and does not care for House forces, who he feels are trigger happy.

I am still sorting out my equipment, and detailing my RP. he has become emotionless, and hateful, so being alone is all he wants.

Although I kind of like the idea of a very loose alliance with other Vigilante's, working together, on their own!
