Dropping faction tag basically killed LH recruitment from my observation. Instead independent hackers would fly with the official ones and kinda nobody would see the difference, the independent hackers included.
Admin approved faction don't have a problem with people being able to RP the faction even without the tag so it's a whole different story.

Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.

<--- That cow. That account. I use it exclusively for OOC expression. I checked, it does not have a reference to any of my characters nor the (untagged) official fraction I'm in. Is that bad?
The pros and cons of not having a tag seems a small deal compared to the shadiness it implies - and that has a place INRP. And it also suggests faintly that maybe wearing a nice flashy tag is -not- the thing what differentiates indies from fraction players. Not that I know exactly what does - other than being in a faction.
EDIT: Ooops, I just noticed that.

Umm, did you see their recruitment thread? It seems far from being 'killed'.
