Jinx you are my idol. Every single one of those ships is drop dead gorgeous. Once we have these Capitals in-game have you considered working on some Zoner Fighters / Bombers? Really some Fighters using these styles would look amazing.
I don't think I can think of a word to describe how much I like those models. I will however say something I normally wouldn't.
When 4.86 hits can you work on another factions ship line? While I love the attention you give the Zoner ship line I think it would benefit the mod to have your skills used on another factions ship line. I think all factions deserve ships with the time and detail you have put into these.
Not to prod into your life but, I think you could make a killing doing this as a living.

yes - i replace the models more often following a step-by-step progression in design developement - just as the mod balance changes with each major update - so i change the ships. - mind, i only do that if there appears to be a consent of the major zoner community rather than trying to force it on them.
after all - stats and even background information lore is changed, too - sometimes to a great effect. so are rules. and sometimes that is done without feedback or agreement. now we know that such a thread is hardly representative - as little actually as a poll where a mere 200 ppl vote... but still - we base decisions on such polls if we re trying to be objective - or sometimes we just talk to someone we know agrees with us on skype - and change things for a larger group of players without talking to them at all.
i believe it totally justified to change the models.
i focus on zoner ships, cause i made the experience that meddling with other factions that i m not so involved in - is more problematic. - other factions have their own dedicated modellers, and if they don t have - they can find someone.
about the fearless... - you don t really believe that i haven t tried to contact AoM via any possible channel, do you? - i have tried to Email him, skype him, PM him, officially contact him via the board - i got no answer.
if you have been in contact with AoM lately - ( or at least more than with Legenation, where we appear not to have a problem replacing his ships ) - be my guest and provide me with a contact channel i can actually reach him. the fearless is an inferior model regarding the mesh. - it is also not the most beautiful one - judging from comments from many zoners ( others consider it great - no doubt ) - it is one of AoMs first models made for 4.84 - and therefor is offers a below average skinning and shaping. - i am certain AoM would agree with that.
and while the current fearless has no problem, the old "mjolnir SHF" had no problem either - other than having an ugly skinning.
and as far as i remember - there was no objection changing that. - so "looks" appear to be reason enough to change something. - if you have checked out the model, you d have seen that there is no change in hitbox on the fearless. i have altered the arcs a little - but we do all know that if its problematic, it can be changed back easily... [but of course - Xing was around to be asked about it]
besides - you re doing the "rebalancing of capital warships" atm - so all those hardpoints are under change anyway.
really, i see no problem there. AND i d consider it somewhat "strange" if these were denied to be replaced to be totally honest. zoners don t have much in terms of pvp superiority - a topic many other factions fight for all day... so at least they get some changes every now and then in the cosmetic department.
to be blunt - you re free to take care of the major balance issues with the mod - as you re in charge there. - but when it comes to model replacements, please do not stand in the way - unless there really is justified concern - as i do not recognize it in that case.
however - i will agree to try to contact AoM once again via all possible channels - and if he refuses - the fearless will of course be dropped ( no objection here )
