Background Information:

During his turbulent childhood on the station he experienced many Red Hessian attacks that made him hate the pirates. When he was 10 his father died in a industrial accident. It was then that he become close friend with Friedrich Lang and his father. With the Daumann lavafeld nearing depletion the two young men decided to try join the Rheinland military in order to insure a better future for the people of Rheinland. His older brother Paul was killed in action while serving on board a Rheinland Gunboat in one of the skirmishes with Bretonia during the Nomad war.

He will do everything to protect the poor civilian workers of the Rheinland Corporations. He hates the Red Hessians but has has some understanding for the LWB, leading to his superiors beeing reluctant to deploy him on missions against them and lowering his chances of promotion.

Background Information: Born to Captain Randolph Kaiser and Commander Olga Bauer-Kaiser, Hiltraud was raised with military discipline and honor running through her veins. From the age of six to eighteen, Hiltraud attended Kanzlerschule for girls where she was groomed for a future career in the Rheinland Military; her education emphasizing military intelligence, flight skills and war tactics. Immediately upon graduation Kaiser enlisted as a Lieutenant.

Hiltraud rose through the ranks swiftly, from Lieutenant to Captain in an unprecedented amount of time. Her leadership skills and quick wit were noticed by Admiral Krieg. She is now a Rheinland Military admiral and captains the Battleship Westphalia.

Basic Personality Traits: Hiltraud is intensely loyal to the RM and those who serve the Fatherland and serve it well. She does not waiver in her convictions and upholds the laws at every turn. Hiltraud is quick to discipline but also quick to congratulate. She will not stand for treachery and those convicted of treason or cowardice are shot on the spot.

Background Information: Elyots was born on board of a immigrant ship that was heading to Rheinland. His real origin is unknown as his parents left him on planet Stuttgart before they left for New Berlin to get a job without having a kid to feed. The ship never reached his destination...

Elyots lived in an orphanage for 18 years, where he learned discipline and initiative. When he reached 18, he left the orphanage. He was rapidly hired by a trader to become one of his crew member. For more than one year, he traveled trough all Sirius. At some point, he decided this job didn't pay enough for him to get to university. That is the reason why he entered the Rheinland Military.

Basic Personality : Very disciplined, sometime unconscious, he have some difficulty to understand order, but when he do, he execute them with determination.

Background Information:

Hans was raised by his parents in Planet New Berlin. They raised him to be independent and useful to others, a "wahr Rheinlander", as they'd say. The same nationalism that got him born at Lubeck. His mother entered labour prematurely while in transit to Liberty and most persuasively forced the pilot back to Rheinland space, she wanted her baby born on their home system. Unfortunately for her, she could not make the journey back to New Berlin and they had to dock at Lubeck so she could deliver.

Hans would keep mostly to himself on his first days at the academy. At first he'd appear to be the loner type, but time showed that was not his case. He'd be very polite to both officers and fellow trainees and always did his best to of help whenever he could. As a matter of fact the young man has little to none bad personality traits. Eventually, even though his colleagues didn't get him at first, he became part of the group and by the end of the preparatory course most people liked it when he was around.

Hans isn't an Ace pilot, but he has solid flying skills. I'd say that what he adds to a flight group is cohesion. He's the kind of pilot that looks around while fighting and has a good understanding of the battleground. He'll keep an eye out for trouble and will take care of his wingmates. He's not about glory, he's about doing what is needed.

If I may say, I believe you'll have in Hans a fine adition for you roster.

Admiral Krieg has assembled the Military Personnel Profiles of all the RM officers present at the battle in order to veto them to be sure that they had been replaced by a Corsair spy. He picks up the profile of Lukas Meyer. Inside he reads:

Background Information: The son of working class people on Hamburg. Both his parents worked on Alster Shipyards and were both killed during the Brandenburg Incident (for more info see attacked file-a). Left with no family he and his older brother became 2 of the thousands of forgotten Hamburg street kids. Being only 8 at the time and unable to fend for himself his older brother (13 at the time) had to resort to petty street crime in order for them to survive. Meyer stated that they lived on the streets for just over a year until the introduction of the Hamburg Initiative (see attached File-b) From then on Meyer and his brother (who we have just identified as Commander Max Meyer, current First Officer of the RNC-Blitzen) were assigned to Facility-C where they both lived until they were both 16 respectively and both successfully applied to the Rheinland military Academy. Meyer successfully completed the standard 4 years training at the academy specialising in VHF piloting over LF or Bomber training. Records show he was an average marksman with a rifle and pistol as well as displaying a lack of interest in their use during basic training. This naturally made him an unfit candidate for the ground and station-based assault troops. During basic bomber training he was noted to have coped well with the lower manoeuvrability but was a poor shot with the dual torpedoes. He excelled at both LF, HF and VHF basic but eventually put his name down for VHF specialisation He graduated with full honours 5 months ago and since then has seen more action than people with twice his experience having served on the Frankfurt front and taken part in some of the major engagements. Recently released from the New Berlin Imperialus Krankenhaus (Imperial Hospital) after suffering severe burns and injuries after being forced to eject in the engagement with the corsairs. Currently still serving on the front and has refused transfer to allow time for his wounds to heal.

Basic Personality Traits: Meyer is noted to be fiercely patriotic, a trait which when asked Meyer revealed was bred into him by his father from an early age. Said to be cool, calm and collected at all times unless when civilians are at risk by which time he seems to get nervous and erratic. Was originally targeted by BDM recruiters for his exceptional knowledge of ship systems and aptitude for tactical decision making. Their offer however was graciously declined by Meyer who stated that he felt his place was on the front line with the other grunts. Interestingly however he was reported to have made an offhand comment to his Drill Sergeant when asked why he declined Meyer was reported to have said I dont know Sarge but theres something about their silence I just find unnerving. He is generally light hearted, impish and considerably popular among his flight mates as he can take a joke and has no problems buying a round.

Other: Curiously he has very dark blue iris. Due to the lack of any family from an older generation (checks revealed his brother has steel greyght blue eyes) we are unable to ascertain as to whether this is hereditary or just chance.

In breaking news we are receiving reports that the radical freedom fighters the Bundschuh have successfully detonated a bomb within the reactor room of the newly constructed RNC-Brandenburg which was still in the dry-docks of Alster Shipyards in Hamburg. We are also receiving reports that the dry-dock itself has suffered massive structural damage from the blast. We are attempting to contact our reporter Mariana Kuhl who was due to report from the Cruiser on the party being held onboard to celebrate the first in what was supposed to be a new line of cruisers for our armed Forces. However we are now receiving horrible reports that all onboard have been killed either by the blast or by exposure to the vacuum. We will keep you up to date as this tragic disaster unfolds.........

Today Parliament voted unanimously to enact the Hamburg Initiative. The Initiative is designed to combat the tragic problem of street orphans that has plagued Hamburg for the past decade. The Initiative will help round up the street children and relocate them to one of dozens of Facilities specially designed to care for and educate these children, many of whom have never seen the inside of the classroom. Many welcome this and see it as a turning point for so many orphans who have risked their lives on a daily basis for years doing what they can to afford food, and clean drinking water for themselves and sometimes for younger siblings who are unable to take care of themselves. These many thousands (approximately 9000) have been responsible for petty street crime and desperate robbery and in some tragic cases they have been killed trying to outrun law enforcement officers. Our minister for Domestic Affairs Karl Leiderman had this to say It is a disgrace that we, the people of Rheinland have allowed such a tragedy to last for so long. Hopefully now these new measures will give a chance of a new life for those who until yesterday had none.........

Background Information: Manfred is coming from "New Berlin", where he was born and grown up by his original parents. In a little village, called "Mahlsdorf", he learned what it means to respect the law. Both of his parents are lawyers. That is why he also know how to make distinctions between lawful and unlawful. The reason why he isnt following in the steps of his parents is simple. He believes that Rheinland needs more people for the executive and not for legislative. So he decided to pick up a ship and try to safe in this way the law and disband the chaos.

Today he recognized the real friends of the law and the opposition. The only lawful way for Manfred Braun is now to join the Rheinlandmilitary and disband the hostiles.
