Keep in mind that entire thing, and I do mean entire thing, caused a massive amount of whining and big Q_Q that shut down Silver road (nice name friday) and nerfed the income from mining. Combine that with the things mentioned above (poor rp with some, KSP/KNF getting very bad image and Q_Q) and result is, in my opinion - negative.

I just hope that the same thing won't happen to the gas mining should it be implemented. Look, my opinion is far from crucial in this matter, and god knows that my roleplay is not what it used to be now when I don't have that much time, but I found it distasteful to make a new character.

maybe i'm a hypocrite because my corsair could plunder the Dublin and Omega 7, and I knew my time will come so I just sat down quietly knowing that Penn would be eradicated eventually.

oh no wait... I bought an bactrian and stole ore with no guns.

The things is that with the bad also came awesome things I've mention in this thread already

My point with the rotating bonus idea is that no one area gets 'locked in' to the sorts of Q_Q scenes that come will every major money-making region.

Would there be a traveling Q_Q Circus following around the rotating bonus route? Sure - but given the history of money-making schemes in Disco, Q_Q is utterly inescapable.

The goal of having the 'top' money spinner rotating is simply to spread it around - rather than have the Q_Q Circus set up camp in one region of space - until that region becomes so intolerable that the developers are forced to intervene.

It would be good to boost the trading economy in the same way. Perhaps some counter via FL hook could be made where when one point in commodities is reached that route starts paying less... much less..

sure, people say it's a burden but it would certainly liven up the trading system.

I hope that rotating thing will bring the awesome you both mention, I would like to be the part of it with my existing characters.
