' Wrote:Sir. Excuse me but pirating is about Role-Play. It's about the value of the encounter, not the value of the amount of credits that ends up in your hold. You are not supposed to be acting like a real criminal, greedy and desperate, no that would totally break the immersion as in comparison to you following the norms set up by other players which are based on fictional fairness. I advise you to reconsider your position on this matter.

Where is the thrill if you know pirate is going to ask for pocket change? I like RP where challenge is involved not only chitchat.
Lack of thrill is what makes trading boring and uninteresting.

Oh this is hilarious...

I think you forgot to mention the fact that during the piracy you ran twice, and had your buddies shoot at me. Not to mention whining at me OORPly half the time.

All of which led the demand to go from 8 mil to 13 mil.

Oh and by the way, he was in a Colossus with over 4500 units of silver ore (which is about 50 mil worth), so in the end he paid less than a quarter of the value of his cargo.

Also, the demand of 3k of your cargo was NOT made after you paid (after you paid I said 'Gracias...' and let you leave), I demanded 3k of your cargo as I was looking for cash not ore (hence I made it much cheaper for you to pay in credits).

EDIT: I don't want a trial by forum, I'm just presenting facts to counter his "facts".

It's a game indeed and noone dies if their ships explode. So why shouldn't pirates be a threat to property if not to RP-life? I wouldn't want to dictate RP on anyone, and I like very much that Hideki plays a noble pirate with good manners like out of a novel. But also I wouldn't want to miss the evil, greedy pirate who comes after all you have. You never know what kind of encounter it will be when the red-contact-on-scanners-alarm starts yelling all around the cockpit. And that's how it should be.

i think you should demand per need. say i want to buy a new shiny battleship i will pirate in my cruiser and demand about 200-500 millions each so i wont have to pirate for long till i get my new pirating vessel.

♠ Because we can ♠

Pay, or don't.
It's your choice, but remember that you have consequences to your actions.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

THIS.

And it goes both ways, if you're a pirate, and kill someone after they pay, guess what? Theyre not going to pay you again.

Unless the rules changed, you arent allowed to kill someone after they pay, unless they suddenly reduce your shields to 50% or some such nonsense. But hey, lets not consider that this is a game, and we all want to have fun. Afterall, Disregarding the fact that there is another player behind that ship makes it so much easier to get all those shiny cruisers.

No longer a slave to the man!
