Does the "can only respawn as GRN" apply to the whole event?

For example if we play KNF, can I respawn as GRN after dying and then when KNF and BAF are extinct, switch to a CR char?

Or if we want to partcipate as CR, can't we play at the event before at all because we might die?

If we were KNF or GRN and didnt die, can we log onto a CR ship later?

Also, you know that this is gonna be the biggest capspam event ever without bombers right?
