Get Snes/Genesis emulators and have a bit of nostalgia fun on occasion in queues and generally anywhere got to sit and wait. May be some ebook reader if you don't mind reading on small screen.

I use my old Nexus One as a phone, music player on road and occasionally to play some oldies like Lost Vikings. You can attach PS3 dualshock gamepad to it via USB (you'll need app to make it work in emulators) easy or bluetooth (a little harder).
