If such a thing gives you an added edge in combat, then it'll be nuked by the anti-cheat at some point.
Unless everyone gets the same bonus, tis cheating. Up to Cannon on that one though.

Nothing wrong with tinkering though. It's how the FL modding community has got this far. Go back 5 years and folks struggled making custom ships since they couldn't make custom hitboxes.

Well the point is to disable the "auto aim" that the red cross grants, and i suppose if at all, a toggle button on and off could be nice. Disabled autoaim [but not thered cross visuals] can help aiming in certain situations.

What do you think?

Yea or nay? Maybe we could bug Cannon about adding this feature to the dsace.dll?

Is that something anyone else would be interested in having?

Why do you want to change the mouse.ini for that? Just bind a weapons group to a key or button, activate an all-empty-weapons group and then press that button whenever you want to fire your guns.

You won't see any reticle that way.

Most features are possible with ingame-settings after all.

The point is to have the reticle/red cross but without the autoaim. I'm positive that it would help me to aim and hit in certain situations, most notably when shooting a dodging target.

I just want a 'lead' dot/cross on neutral and friendly IFF'd ships. I'm tired of trying to manually switch to different targets that have a IFF that's not red to mine.

Ex. I'm in a GB pirate ID, fighting off 3 Mercs with FL IFF aswell. I waist 3-5 secs trying to physically 'click' on the next target to get the lead dot...

Anyone know how to add it to em?
