My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos. Ruined dreams. This wasted land. But most of all, I remember Waratah. The man we called "Barnes". To understand who he was, you have to go back to another time. When the world was powered by the black fuel. And the desert sprouted great cities of pipe and steel. Gone now, swept away. For reasons long forgotten, two mighty warrior tribes went to war and touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Without fuel, they were nothing. They built a house of straw. The thundering machines sputtered and stopped. Their leaders talked and talked and talked. But nothing could stem the avalanche. Their world crumbled. The cities exploded. A whirlwind of looting, a firestorm of fear. Men began to feed on men. In the Edge Worlds it was a white line nightmare. Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the Freeports, ready to wage war for a tank of H-Fuel. And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary men were battered and smashed. Men like Barnes. The warrior Barnes. In the roar of an engine, he lost everything. And became a shell of a man, a burnt out, desolate man, a man haunted by the demons of his past, a man who wandered out into the Edge Worlds. And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again...

I was thinking more so a Bretonian terrorist like faction that would try to gain autonomy.
Maybe help Kusari a bit? I was thinking basing it in the Taus and harassing the Brets on their front-lines and home systems. I think it would be a tonne of fun. We could have separate divisions for economic gain and guerrilla tactics against Bretonia.

I like the idea of an austrailian sub-group. I agree that it should be based highly in bretonian lore.
A while back, I had an idea for a similar thing to this, but they were Zoners, and they were lawful bretonian. Essentially, they were Breotnian explorers and colonists, living on the fringe of bretonian space, and balanced the tenitive link between Bretonia and the Zoners. I liked the idea, mainly because they didn't (in my opinion) recycle the story of "oppressed minority living on the edges of space rebels against its house." I called them the Outbackers, and although I never actually made the player group, I had a lot of fun RPing my character as one of the members of this sub-culture. If you want to talk about this, my skype is azraeles27 . The whole idea of Bretonian frontiersmen was incredibly fun, and I hope you can capture the spirit of this in your faction.
Also, I would suggest shying away from any sort of racial barrier between you and Bretonia. Cultural, philosphical, or social, sure, but not racial. Even the vanilla mollys (who were blaitently Irish) were deviod of any canon racial conflict with Bretonia. Nowadays, thats changed, but in my opinion, almost none of the conflicts in vanilla were based on earth-like racial predudace, but instead on fresh ideological diffrences that brought about memorys of earth conflicts.

Best of luck with this.
I had no intention of any racial prejudice with this I meant that they were a terrorist like faction because the Brets refused to give them autonomy.
And to the guy who said something about it being like a Molly faction, Well I've never really based out of Bretonia before so I don't really know anything about the Mollys other than the fact that they like Dublin.
