I think al the notification would get scrambled and possiblly help to overwhelm the admin desk. I think that if we as players simply asked ourselves "could I really do that if I were in the command chair for real" and if the answer is yes its valid RP. This is not a question of fairness, or sportsman ship, or anyhting for gaming this is to reenforce some sembelance of real life in a sci-fi setting.

//////////////RANT////////////////////////

I even say let caps pirate!! I now own one and know how easy it would be to ditch one in and asteriod field. Maybe even turn them into a giant target for fighters after you call the cops. I'm no pirate but I must say its crap to hamstring them like that. I don't want fairness I want as much realism as can be squezed out of this sci-fi. If I wanted fair I'd play Baseball or soccer, and have refs. Battle ships already have to fly way out of ZOIs to get anywhere, because they dont fit in trade lanes well at all, and even the smallest fighter or rock can send them spinning like they have the mass of a ballon. I got smacked out of alignment for a trade lane by a starflier. I almost started cap whoreing just to have space because one can't manuver well while being hit by insect size fighters and trying to navigate an asteriod field.

Something needs to be done for their stability I'll keep stats as are just how about some stinking stability.

////////////RANT ENDS/////////////////////////////

My real life example would be how fair or sportman is the swat team when they raid a house of pot heads. The answer is they are not. They tear gas, and enter by every entrance available while making a few new ones with max fire power and cordination against a bunch of stoned, non violent, junk food eaters, that may have too many double cheese burgers.

So, the point of that was, lets not confuse RP, with fairness. Good RP involves planning as does a raid. And a good raid is not fair, and if it is, your plan sucked.

I also see people fighting to the death when they should be running, it is because why run and live if the penalty is the same for fighting and dying. The clause he who runs today lives to fight another day is totally irrelevant here. I think the only rule in reguards to PVP that should stay is the Death rule. if you die your gone for four. If you dock well that lets them make a blockade, if you run then that not unrealistic. Lets keep the rules simple and the RP amped to the max.
