But then, what's the fun when there's no risk?

Tell me you psychic ossim jumper, how much hard is it to sit on the lane? VERY , I believe you. Ever tried mining? Or trading even for that matter?
Not bad to rob someone for like 60% of their profit, thats truly 0.0, excellence to one another. Sorry, it is very wrong in my eyes and only bad that its not reportable. No wonder people Q_Q so much if such ridiculous demands are issued.

I feel so much sorry for my little pirate, who asks 1,5 million out of 5K trader. Or even less. I aim to have fun, not doing it for the profit, like you do. Since I am making another ass assumption, towards you this time, that you do not trade. Sit on lane and rob people who actually spend their precious time trying to raise some cash.

Whilst im fan of insults myself, how about you try to stay on topic. I poitned my opinion towards general pirate public, interesting how you caught up on it. PRolly a lil bit true, aint it. Srsly, leave me alone, I aint a starflea interested in your comments towards me? Kthxlolbai. Go sit on a lane.

The difficulty of two different jobs can't be compared. Pirating is a lot more demanding than trading because you have to pay more attention, and while less engaging than mining, puts you more on your nerves. The most nervous in a pirate encounter is the pirate, not knowing what kind of person he has to deal with.

I'm always more exhausted after an intense session of pirating than anything else. Piracy makes me sweat, personally. Not the other two jobs.

EDIt 1: This is a personal opinion, though. A pirate works just as much for his credits than the two others.

EDIT 2: A pirate pirating a popular lane is no better than a powertrader powertrading the best route or a powerminer mining the best field. They're all the same.

EDIT 3: Actually, the most difficult job of sirius is being a law enforcer, stress wise. You must protect the trader and make in sort he makes it into a safeheaven. Most of the times, traders won't even tip you for your job! It's partly why you should ask for more credits, so these traders can pay people when they deserve it. Otherwise, they won't see the point in giving Law enforcers 1-2 million credits, when you just asked them 1-2 million credits as a pirate.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

Oh such wonders, people saying standing at the lane earns you instant profit without any work. Yes, yes it does, but if you're taking the most popular California lane where something bugs in every few minutes, because Liberty as future America was designed to be the center of the world. And as a starting location is more populated and traders know more about it.

But let's check Texas's lane, I've had rolls of over 30 minutes of no trader. Same goes for Hamburg, Frankfurt isn't too different. Pretty much everywhere away from the most populated New York system tends to lack enough transports to match California lane. Thus you actually need to pay attention to where the population's at and move when needed. Oh and not to mention the solaris capitals that just love to drop from the lane and kick you out with force.

Oh, I feel with you! =) When I tried to pirate on my Molly Hege, together with a Molly GB for the first time, the fail was really bad, too ;P

I guess it's just: Keep trying.

Thats the result of trading being focused on most profitable routes, which converge on very few lanes.

25 mills per 5k? O.o

That... is harsh. Real harsh.

If i had the stomach to pirate, i would always be around the 1-2 mio's, probably doing the 500k if the trader roleplayed it nicely.

And ye, i know pirates have it hard, being on the opposing side sometimes.

I once saw (in my indie LN) not one, not two, but three capitals (between Solaris dread to 'sile funboat) exiting a lane where a pirate in a barghie was trying to make business with a random gold ore transport (and i'm pretty sure it was a 2 mio demand).

Bottom line, i asked the capitals to disengage (which engaged with a "Defending trader, engaging pirate."), which they didn't...

So, i enjoyed watching how he pop'd the trader, and gave him a fresh batch of regens so he could flee at the end.

In the end, i learned they were friends with said trader (who called them ingame), so before heading out, i cd'd the ore in an honest to god mistake.:smile2:

Yeah.

I can't pirate, but i can be pretty cruel, when the situation demands it so.

Especially solaris capitals on snubs, ye?

The right and proper answer. With 2 missiles just to make sure.

Make sure of what? That they still fail?

:smile2:

But yeah, pirates do have it hard most of the times.
Although they do have nice rewards from time to time.

There have been...instances that prove otherwise then fail. *grins*
