That doesn't really give sense does it? Kogen can't really force queen to let him in her realm.

It says she agreed - not that she was forced.

Subtle yet important difference. It does not speak of what negotiations took place behind the scenes.

The GMG asked themselves the same question of, regarding the Treaty of Aomori.

I heartily agree - why should any faction have to sign a treaty to have themselves recognised - when the lore already acknowledges this explicitly.

Why indeed?

My suspicion is that this "treaty" would be used to force all sorts of restrictions on the faction that can then be used as a reason to penalize the faction later on, or break from the storyline. I have no interest in that. The storyline says we have an Cease Fire and an Alliance against the Gallians, that is the what the Ronin will be playing out.

Hasn't this been my stance against you concerning GMG? That the treaty was already signed and hundreds of years old but your character refused to acknowledge it happened citing that you wanted a player record of it?

In general I support your view I quoted since our 2+ yr dance has shown that these little things can be messy and used as an attempt to restrict RP. ;)

Would you care to show me where lore explicitly said there was any treaty between House Kusari and the GMG?

The storyline doesn't mention alliance with Gaians which you happen have.
The storyline mentions alliance with Bretonia lawfuls, which you don't have.

Feel free to PM me regarding any grammar/spelling/other language mistakes I have made in my posts.

The storyline mentions a a cease fire and Alliance against Gallia, which is not quite the same.

And yes, the storyline doesn't mention the Gaians.

If you have a "treaty", it's on a bit of paper. What is the wording of it? Is it a full alliance? Is it a mere ceasefire? Saying there is a treaty is not enough, you need to know what's in it. Otherwise everyone will RP their own version of it (no standard) and it becomes messy.

The Ronin are in a delicate situation right now, as I understand. If you *dont* have that precise wording, there's going to be hostilities in the future when one group RPs one thing and the other group a completely different thing.

So, not knowing what's in said treaty will mean carnage.

I direct your attention to the last sentence in that infocard.

Furthermore, a reasonable person can conclude that the word 'treaty' does not need to be explicitly mentioned in order to assume that two parties have one between them.

Treaties are the meat-and-drink of diplomacy between groups. Treaties and other such agreements can be assumed to exist between all groups enjoying good-to-neutral relations.

Of course, these dont have to be explicitly written up and signed by players. The Bretonian Government could simply impose whatever regulations they like in their own laws regarding your faction...
