2 widows, 2 sutingers and 2 improved debilitators..
Put sutingers with Debilitators in group, for stripping shield.
Put sutingers with widows in 2nd group for hull damage.
It works fantastic..

The ones who like to do more damage in a moment, 4 widows is good.
It's not good for chase fights though, unless your aim is really really good.
So, for new players, 2-2-2.

My aim is really bad, as most know. I just refrain from shooting until I get really close.

Shoot only when close=Less shooting=Less enegry consumed=4x Widows are okay for me

yes...i also fire widows from very close...so that i am sure that they will hit...people might notice that when they are going against my xeno eagle...on approach i don't shoot...i fire at point blank...combined with debs Bwidows will strip any fighter shield in few shots...and i dont fire all at once..in chain fire they appear to have refire 8 per second (in groups of 2)

black widows are good weapons...they are not second best like some said...they do most damage (for 4 refire weapon) but short range and power usage bring them down...

still, its not about making weapon to suit you...its to adapt to what you have...

IMO Eagle armed with Black widows and debbies is most devastating fighter in game...i said it before, but i will repeat....

if i am asked to choose one ship and one set up to go to any battle on this server...i would use eagle and Bwidows...

I'd say that Blood Dragon HF armed with Krakens and Inferno can beat the crap out of anything:lol:

In the ends Xenos remain what it is, lonely fation with all what they have.

With other words a target practise for, Hountyhunters and liberty forces

Xenos are fine, the other players have adapted to the unique weapon/ship combinations.

Why haven't you?

The Black Widow is fine, you just need to aim better or combine them with Suntigers for more efficiency.

The black widow partical cannons are second only to the outcasts kraken type 2 partical cannons.

If the outcasts can use 6x plus a turret without complaining then the xenos can use 6x on a VHF thats more agile then the sabre can ever hope to be.

A lone starblazer with 4x xeno guns can scare an armoured transport pilot anyday, so a eagle should be able to seriously smash up the paint work on any transport/train.

There is no need to change the xeno guns whatsoever.

But I disagree strongly with the "They're fine on an Eagle". They evidently are not.

I mount 4 Suntigers and 2 Black Widows. Fine, great. 7 Seconds of fire. Thats average. I do this to do consistent amounts of damage to transport ships and larger fighters, while my mini razor takes care of the rest.

I also have used 6 Black Widows before. While not being a problem for me specifically, I know 3 seconds of fire is really pushing it for some people.

Lets face it. You have to be good at energy management to deal with 6 BW's and a MR at the same time, especially on an Eagle. Some people just aren't that good at the moment, but they are working on it.

There isn't really a moral of the above, just chasing an arguement to infinity:mellow:.

Then again though, one should take a looksee at the LWB Destroyers. Second only to the wyrm, but I reckon that if there were enough LWB players, they would ask for an upgrade...

We all know that the Xenos are the skill-based faction. We are too poor to be anything else.

Exactly, Its' not so much the gun specs that matter, its' how what you use them with.

That is the good thing about Xeno preferred ships- while having good firepower (not excellent) They have the manouverability to make up for it.
