3 VHFs < 3 GBs
5+ VHFs < 5+ BSs

What makes you think that a battleship should be better than a fighter?

As I said in a different thread, when you die in either, you lose nothing. This means you can use it forever with no penalty, which makes them worth the same regardless of the one-off initial input of the purchase. Disco balance revolves around 1:1 balance. If this doesn't suit you and you want caps to be more powerful, they must also have a drawback that makes the pilot think twice before taking them into a dangerous situation. Otherwise, everybody will fly battleships and that'll be all she wrote.

You know at one point, I recall 6 wraiths with just single turtle demolishing like half dozen dread and carriers. Oh and ive seen VHFs destroy all sorts of battleships, even previous sollies. Nor to mention, its all about pilot skill. On average, the VHFs win.

And yes, I do agree that they should have drawback. As suggested - far slower, just anticap guns, expensive ammo and so forth.

I've seen all that stuff too.

But, I've seen solaris battleships force swarms of VHFs to back off, and I can certainly believe with TS that a gunboat can take on five fighters and win. That's all about skill at arms at the end of the day.

The more expensive a cap becomes to die in, the better they can get. The strengths and weaknesses of the class such as what guns to choose or what those guns are don't really play a factor, since as with the ship, you dont lose them when you die.

I'd certainly make caps a fair deal stronger if you were stripped of your guns every time you died outside of connecticut, for example. This means that every time you fly, you risk anywhere from 40-80 mil. Of course with risk, should come reward, which would be higher PvP performance against both caps and crucially, snubs. Fighter and bomber pilots couldn't complain either, since they wouldn't be risking anything by flying.

Just generally help if people got a bit of practice with battleships more than anything, with skill they can be used efficiently and effectively.

Well currently, the battleships and their weaponry are poorly balanced if you ask me.

Solaris guns are joke. They have such little damage it aint even funny and you gotta be truly dumb bomber guy to die to them. Razors are total waste of class 10 slot. Flaks maybe cool, but their energy useage is too high and you have to be constatly searching around for their approach. Which in heat of the battle when you got to shoot is pretty tough.

But still, many players using unbalanced battleships in game, and have fun flying on them, shootind on them, stucking on them, blowing up on them. What else they need?

P.S. Heh, at least not every capital ship misseling your fighte like boss now.

Thats only because the hubs of activity have battleships that tend to mount anticapital weaponry. When I met the council strike BS force of like 3 valors, they had some 7 missiles total, while keeping enough firepower to obliterate anything within half a minute.

The only thing bs needs are better solaris and secondary turrets imo
Progectile speed and damage buff on solaries, range buff on secondaries
