1CD hitted accidentally nearby any NPC will couse you hostile to them. Sometimes it's pretty annoying when you fire it where there is for instace a lot of alllied NPCs and rock field around.
My point to make (and it's one I all too often see), is if I'm in my Liberty Rogue Guard tagged and ID'ed Outcast Destroyer strolling around, and I see a trader hauling 20/50/100 etc Liberty Rogue/Outcast/Lane Hacker pilots, i've got to ignore them, even if i'm the only one around to demand they return my comrades? That would just be horribly retarded RP. If they're hauling them around in plain sight in front of a damn Liberty Rogue ship, regardless of the class of ship, they deserve everything they get for having them demanded off them, and I frankly think the rules should be reflected to show this. The same goes for lawfuls when some pirate hauls a whole load of their pilots around in plain sight.
I've often posted that all the ID's need to be customized to the faction, and I'm quite willing to go through and edit every ID and submit a customized version for every faction in the game for Admin approval/deliberation, for the next mod update.
The Liberty Rogue ID could say: Pilot carrying this ID has joined the Liberty Rogues. Liberty Rogue ID grants its owner right to scan other ships and demand cargo (not allowed for cruisers and battleships, unless target is carrying artifacts and/or allied pilots), engage bounty hunters and lawfuls, fulfill bounty contracts, participate in military operations on unlawful side, and trade. Liberty Rogue ID owner cannot ally with lawful forces (except against Corsairs or Nomads/Keepers). May temporarily ally with Xenos again lawfuls.
The Outcast ID could say: Pilot carrying this ID has joined the Outcasts. Outcast ID grants its owner right to scan other ships and demand cargo if it is being carried (not allowed for cruisers and battleships, unless target is carrying artifacts and/or allied pilots or items declared contraband), engage bounty hunters and lawfuls, fulfill bounty contracts, participate in military operations on unlawful side, and trade. Outcast ID owner cannot ally with any lawful forces. May not engage Nomads or Keepers, unless in self-defense.
The Corsair ID could say: Pilot carrying this ID has joined the Corsairs. Corsair ID grants its owner right to scan other ships and demand cargo if it is carried (not allowed for cruisers and battleships, unless target is carrying passengers, VIPs, Cardamine and/or allied pilots or items declared contraband), engage bounty hunters and lawfuls, fulfill bounty contracts, participate in military operations on unlawful side, and trade. Corsair ID owner cannot ally with any lawful forces (except against Nomads or Keepers).
The Xeno ID could say: Pilot carrying this ID has joined the Xenos. Xeno ID owners can attack any lawful (except Universal Shipping ID) and most unlawful ships at will and participate in military operations on unlawful side. Xeno ID owners are not allowed to ally with lawful forces (except against non-Liberty pirate or military invasions) or demand cargo from traders (unless the target is carrying Xeno pilots); also, they are not allowed to use capital ships, super heavy fighters, transports, and liners. May temporarily ally with Liberty Rogues against lawfuls.
The Universal Shipping ID could say: Pilot carrying this ID is employed by the Universal Shipping. This ID grants its owner right to trade, escort traders, hunt pirates and terrorists (but not Xenos). This ID owner cannot participate in any unlawful actions or military operations, cannot fulfill bounty contracts.
They were just examples. In the bit where I put (or items declared contraband), obviously they would have to be explicitly stated within the ID which items are contraband, not just giving carte blanche to the groups to make it up on a whim. I just couldn't think of any more specifics at the time of writing this. Also, taking screenshots of someone's cargo hold would obviously be a smart idea regardless of who is doing the demanding.
I think all the other IDs need to be customized and overhauled to give slightly more individuality to each group. As I said before, I'm quite willing to come up with a bunch of individualized IDs for Admin perusal. Even if it's initially refused (which they probably will be), they could well be modified slightly by the Admins to however they feel is right, to give each faction ID just that little bit more of an individual flavour to them.
jep - supporting that idea, too - i d love to see IDs that are really made for the faction and not copy paste ( allthough i very well understand that igiss made it copy paste - he cannot dedicate his entire life for a perfect mod )
i like how they call alaska zone 21 its funny. and btw, if Liberty are allowed to do it, then so are we, and if i had a cap ship i would do so anyways, thanks.
