Sorin,
As the .:j:. Junkers Congressman who started this whole mess, I am sorry if you took this personally.
I imagine that it would chaff my hide too, to lose a base.
The money and time invested are not trivial.
Just so that you know - before I contacted you about the base, I DID give some heavy thought to my next course of action, and discussed it with my own faction members.
We were left with, due to the nature of our faction, very little choice.
It's pretty simple, really - Junkers are the Mafia.
We use trash hauling as a front, but we are the premiere smugglers and fences of stolen goods in Sirius.
We are in EVERY house except Kusari, where our only competition, the Hogosha (think Yakuza), handle their own black market.
Much of what takes place at our bases involves pirates of all types, smugglers, slavers, drug dealers, and other nasty things that need to REMAIN SECRET.
We really had no choice when you built a base 10k from ours.
It looks like a spy operation, plain and simple.
Had your response to my comm about the placement of your base been more cordial, I promise you this would have taken a different route indeed.
Did I come off beligerent, angry, and bossy?
Sure, but Finnegan is a Mafia Capo, not a nice guy.
Back to what's been stated, with good RP, anything is possible.
But good RP demanded we stomp you out, after your answer to me was threats.
You do, I hope, understand, it is NOTHING personal.
It's RP.

Someone near where I live built a swimming pool without planning permission. When the local council found out, they fined them then filled it with concrete. Go figure.

Though normaly Bowex) only does that to the Tagged Gateway ships not the Indies.
This isn't us taking offence to you personally, and is more to do with the lore surrounding the two factions. Bowex and Gateway are bitter rivals, and have been for the last couple of decades / half century.
Bowex is desperately trying to stamp Gateway out through trade monopolies and government influence, while Gateway attempts to undercut them with efficient business practices and liberal trade deals.
If you ever want some of the backstory about it, just send me a PM and I can fill you in on the rest of the details. :)
Interesting ... Didn't knew much about the junkers till recently. Except that they are collecting scrap and some times help pirates to haul they cargo.
Ok, I won't take it personal, but I already made a character that will hunt them according to my RP.
Also didn't knew about Gateway an Bowex tensions. I was thinking it's about me.

It even have Two Steps from Hell, so it's gotta be epic!

Well I guess this would be a good reason to do some research etc. before building your bases. Fair enough that you want to avenge your fallen brother and bases, but it wouldn't be necessary if you'd looked to see that you needed to register a base, and intruding on the territory of two factions was a bad idea.
Them's some kind, thoughtful words there, Z....
Glad you pitched in to the discussion about....wait what's this thread about?
Oh, yeah... A base siege....
But, if you insist on throwing words like 'pathetic' and 'cry' at people, then I feel I must rebuke - and I'll do so without crying OR being pathetic.
Official factions are always scary - 'till you join one.
Then you realize that what you call 'crying' is actually born of concern.
The concern that a parent has, or a caretaker.
Being at the helm of an entire faction's roleplay, being able to bend it, effect it, and have a definable impact on it, can make you actually *gasp* care about it.
When you

You tend to brush up against those concerns.
Being mocked is no fun, Jack. Especially when you have labored long and hard for something.
So, if you insist on mocking people and insulting them...
...just remember the Golden Rule - and Karma - and keep your eyes peeled and some tissue handy for when your own medicine comes your way.

Btw the first BAF that contacted me about that base was nice and explained me where I should register it. Even gave me link to the forum if I remember right. But others acted like scums, in special demolition team. It's all about atitude. Why by example official Bowex) then was meeting my transport in space was saying "Gateway you suck" ?
This is exactly your problem. You need to take a step back and try to analyse the difference between inRP relations and actions and ooRP relations and actions. (inroleplay and out of roleplay)
I personally have no problem with any Gateway pilot, but my Bowex character will confront them in a rude manner because inRP, they're competition, and they don't like each other. Just like all my Bretonian characters hate any gallic characters from the depth of their heart, while I as a player don't have a dislike for any of those players.
If you don't have a permission for your base, the local authorities will try get rid of it, because that's the only plausible action inRP. They don't do it because they hate you, but because your base has ignored inRP laws and restrictions.
As a result, please rethink your idea of "teaching official factions that they're not the only ones". Basing your character or RP efforts on an ooRP conflict or grudge will certainly go wrong somewhere and lead to more animosity. You seem to have a pretty bad image of official factions, but I can guarantee you they're not a bunch of dicks.:)
If you build a pirate base without permission, make sure it's based on your roleplay, and not on your ooRP interests or just your intent to make a point. Your leading motivation should be your pirate characters's RP, his interests, and not because you want to get one over on official faction players. Try to keep your inRP conflicts apart from your ooRP relations, and keep in mind that lawful and unlawful players can perfectly be friends, get along well and play fair ooRP.
