What we do need is something like the equivalent of the Special Operations Executive, to carry out acts of sabotage in Kusari space, and perhaps to recon Corsair bases in the Omegas. Otherwise they'll just end up sitting around scanning cargo and drinking all the brandy.

So QCID (the few that exist) remain spies, but maybe these BPS guys do special ops?

Both behind the lines, but for different reasons, and both have BAF tag but generic military id.

Working theory, but I really wish these guys would post on our site. All hot air otherwise.

Hmm, I have seen a number of them around quite frequently. Perhaps with some encouragement, tuition and general discussions with the leader and his members on how Disco works, they might turn out to be a decent enough addition. Of course, as others have said, a point in their favour is they chose Bretonia to roleplay in, not Liberty or the Outcast/Corsair areas.

I was thinking of talking to one of them and posting on their site, with useful links to ours, ie faction creation request, faction status, rules etc.

Would I be going out on a limb there?

I would point them away from going for a faction request, but showing open arms should keep things cooler than the way Asylum 51 turned out. If you and a few other Bretonian regulars (not QCR, you know what I meant) post on their site in a friendly cooperative manner this could end nicely. Prod them toward applying for the QCRF with separate characters and see if they'll integrate a little more before advancing their BPS stuff. They've got a lot going for them, let's see what we can make of what can be a very valuable group of players.

Uhm..I don't know..I've taken a look to their site and found a picture of an horde of Rheinland Battleships fighting another horde of Bretonia Battleships in front of New Tokyo...
The picture itself probably does not belong to Disco but it gives a hint...lot...of paperworks to do I suppose.

Also from some encounters with KNF during o49 deuterium runs it emerged they want to be friendly and assist Kusari...

I will wait to see an official document.

The BPS admiralty is having a meeting tonight at planet new london, 8pm (UK).

Would help a lot if the QCRO n BPA leaders could be online.

after this meeting, everything regarding our clan's faction,status,intentions,roleplay will be decided.

For my part, here's my 2 cents to take to the meeting:

1) [BPS] could exist as a special ops arm of the BAF. They could carry BAF Tag, but generic Military ID, to sorta emphasize their behind the lines thing.

2) I would prefer they just started QCRF characters, but I don't think they will do that. Their own clan appears to have a long history, and I don't think they will want to give that up. Disco guys, put yourselves in their shoes. Also, remind them there is no reason they can't have QCRF or BPA characters AND their BPS characters.

3) They have got to learn the mod, and server. Until they so, they should hang out with QCRF and BPA, even coming to the regular KNF battles.
