[The_Godslayer]

Greetings.

The boys are under command to intercept Kemwers, the tools and weapons of our number 1 enemies and nemeses. They are also under command to intercept Irridium, as it's a primary shipbuilding component, and Xeno Relics/Artifacts and Azurite Gas, because those are ours. Also PoB upkeep supplies because I hate PoBs. I am told you were hauling Kemwers.

What I don't particularly like is the lack of any real RP component. Throwing out four lines of pre-prepared dialogue, without any real interaction with what they say in response, and then immediately attacking, is kind of... meh. Especially from an official faction.

I am told that, upon CD, you did not stop, and instead continued impulsing towards the base you wanted to dock at. I am relatively certain that GAP wrote his lines by hand as he is what we in the business call "autistic as shit", which means he likely thought "I can't have a full RP interaction in the time it takes for this person to impulse the rest of the way and dock, also your friend was coming as well", and made the executive decision to complete the mission at the cost of the roleplay interaction.

Why he logged out, I don't know for sure. Here are the logs for both traders.

The point of it, though, was to damage the Kemwer trade, among the other trades I've told them to damage as well. Also, to simply make the Omicrons more dangerous and perhaps inspire the solo powertrader to invest in friends. I frankly don't care about DMKNF, I see no problem with lodging complaints about lax Order security for their allies and pressuring them to give you combat support for safety.

I am also waiting on like SC getting on Order's case about the FoB surviving and maybe on Core's case too, so on and so forth. Alas, I will probably continue waiting.

I was about 30K from the nearest base, and was not impulsing towards it, but towards original destination, which was a JH to Kappa (wouldn't really save me at all, since there'd be no nearby bases after the jump). Only changed course after the shooting started.

There was really no demand to stop or enough time to both do that and type something in response for me. Admittedly, I do not type very fast, but still. Allowing me a couple minutes of impulse speed would not change the outcome in the slightest, I think. Didn't had any friends to back me up, too.

Also, to simply make the Omicrons more dangerous and perhaps inspire the solo powertrader to invest in friends.

I suppose that is a valid cause. And as I mentioned, I don't mind the fact of me dying, but I would like to see more RP if possible. And I know it's possible because I had better interactions with your faction in the past.

I do apologize for the rushed interaction, but you know, I am open to any productive RP as long as you don't make yourself a shoot-on-sight target, in which case it was due to hauling Kemwer Technologies. As such, it falls almost to the same degree as Artifacts and/or Xeno Relics in terms of tolerance by the Nomads.

Also from my experience the other trader (Risky.Business) switched course to Dabadoru once I CD'ed it, and was around 9k from Dabadoru when I finished you off. It would also be better for you to go together with the other trader, and as Godslayer said, an additional escort should things like that occur.

It would also be better for you to go together with the other trader, and as Godslayer said, an additional escort should things like that occur.

I'd argue that Kemwer is a lesser reason than Artifacts or Xeno Relics, since Kemwer can hardly be considered stolen property by Nomads... And you'd probably need a human (Wilde) to discern it from other kinds of tech. But okay.

Escort is hardly a solution, as attacks still occur in a relatively small percentage of all trade trips. At best, it's an incentive to use Longhorns or Bulwarks, I guess.

I'd argue that Kemwer is a lesser reason than Artifacts or Xeno Relics, since Kemwer can hardly be considered stolen property by Nomads... And you'd probably need a human (Wilde) to discern it from other kinds of tech. But okay.

Kemwer is a threat, whereas Artifacts and Xeno Relics are stolen belongings.

For decades The Order and their allies have been locked in an shadowy war against The Nomads, covertly battling their Infiltrators and Thralls across House planets and stations. The efforts of Order engineers, xenobiologists and archeologists have produced equipment including handheld parasite detectors, exotic side arms and deadly explosives. In recent years, combat drugs have also been developed to even the odds at any cost, despite severe side effects on the operatives.

Stopping the proliferation of Kemwer is a goal of the Nomads as it reduces humanity's capability to fight back.
