Pretty quiet in New York today. I hit all of the lanes and there is only one thing to report. Someone admitted to smuggling and I have proof of this. Watch out for this guy, he said he was supposed to be shot on sight.
Due to recent legislation from the Liberty government (//admins), certain LPI ships had to be disposed of at a police auction, others had to be replaced with a different class ship to meet these restrictions.
Here is the results of the Auction:
LPI convoy 001, a Mammoth class 2200 unit freighter, - sold, made 10,458,520 credits for it
LPI-Rikers, a Mammoth class 2200 unit freighter, - traded in, it is now a CT-49X "Gull" Civilian Transport, 1000 unit capable.
LPI-Payment office, a L-584 "Enterprise" Luxury Liner, - sold, made 58, 226, 280 credits for it.
Ships that were not affected by the new legislation:
LPI-Folsom, a repair ship. Still in active service
LPI-Riot Guantanamo, an armored transport. Still in active service. (Dep. Chief and Above)
LPI-Leavenworth, a Liberty Gun boat. Still In active service. (Dep. Chief and Above)
LPI-ADX Florence, an armored transport. Still in active service.
LPI-Rikers, a CT-49X "Gull" Civilian Transport, 1000 unit capable. In active service. (Dep Chief and Above)
Currently planned is the acquisition of 2 DL-Hai Liberty "Grizzly" Class Shuttles.
In discussion is also the acquisition of some more amored transports. These ships are in all actuality mini gunboats.

Tonight, Officer Aiden Maggard is finishing checkout on a new Grizzly class freighter that we have adapted to our use. It shows great promise in cargo interdiction use. Finishing touches are going on

Interesting patrol, this one was. Ran all of the lanes, and I encountered a Zoner with Synth Mari Jane, Diamonds, and other goods headed to Rheinland. I charged him the fee for smuggling, and he went and sold the other stuff while I had to deal with another embargo runner, which went back to Rheinland. But I ordered him to drop the goods, and he sold them when I told him to drop them. Also, know where I can forward the fine to?
Had a Merc, named Viktor Navoroski, he had Nomads in his hull. Asked him to drop them, and he did it quietly. I destroyed the material, and problem solved.
I've been taking a much-needed bit of time off lately. The combination of stress from my job and the aftereffects of being pinned when Fort Bush was bombed has made it necessary that I take a break. I may poke my head in a few times between now and when I'm back on full active duty, but my pager is off. Don't even bother trying to get a hold of me.
Jeff is out on Curacao getting some R&R; flying that Upholder with a non-adjustable seat is just not working. Once a new one gets in, he'll be back.
Kent is off doing God-knows-what. I don't keep tabs on him as much.

The LPI all listened as the Chief prepared his announcement. Rumor had it he was handing out promotions, and a lot of them. Everyone was wondering if they had been slacking enough to dodge the bullet, but nonetheless they felt bulls-eyes painted on their backs.
The Chief spoke:
"Fred Hamilton and Jack Bauer are hereby promoted to Captain; get the plates on your ships changed immediately. Riza Williams, Alfred De Beckon, and Aiden Maggard are all promoted to Sergeant; get your plates changed too. Now git back to work."
