Born on Planet New Paris, Ardenne knew little more than military buildup and all-out war in her childhood, being born to two parents both enlisted in the Gallic royal navy. When her parents defected in the war, unable to condone the glassing of Leeds, Ardenne was sheltered on New London while her parents fought against their countrymen, before her family was eventually granted amnesty for their actions against their homeland, and permission to move to Liberty at the war's conclusion. Bretonia was, after all, in no shape to support what were, effectively, refugees.
As the years rolled by, Ardenne herself applied for and gained Libertonian citizenship at age 18, despite being largely shunned and ostracized by her fellow students in her later schoolyears for her birth nationality. When it came to choosing a career, however, she was at a loss. She'd grown up around miltaristic propaganda, her parents had spent their lives training and fighting in the Lynx, and in her mind that left only one conclusion. A non-military career practically seemed alien to her, she hadn't any idea how to live a "normal" life, and so after intense scrutiny of her history and validity of her citizenship, she was allowed to attempt an application to the Liberty Navy.
What's your motivation for joining our fleet?: The military seems like home to me, it's all I ever knew growing up.

Born 21 years ago on the planet Houston in the Texas system, Matthew Austin is a slum dweller: his father was an ex-con who was exiled to this godforsaken place, while his mother was a reporter working for a publication that sought to open the eyes of the citizens of Liberty to life on this planet.
Despite his criminal past, his father strived to get his life back on track, working hard at one of the planet's industrial facilities, his future wife called him in for an interview, which later turned into something more. Matthew's father had only one trait left in him: strict discipline and the acquired skill of dealing with people during his imprisonment. So it turned out that the child of their marriage was brought up in harsh conditions, surrounded by peers from the same, criminal families, under the iron hand of his father.
This paid off, as Austin Jr. was able to learn responsibility and diligence, which served his high grades in school. His goal was to serve in the Navy, as he rightly believed that this would allow him to get his family beyond the planet Houston and move to any other world. And so it was after graduation that he enrolled in a military academy, where he showed excellent results both in grades and in adhering to the regulations.
Some time before his graduation from the academy, a local campaign to join one of Liberty's power structures began, with several major military fleets to choose from, where Matthew could find a use for himself. Having been brought up in the criminal world, the idea of bringing order to his House and ridding it of crime lingered in his mind, and so he expressed his desire to become part of the illustrious Fifth Fleet.
What's your motivation for joining our fleet?: Maintain order in Liberty House and safeguard its sovereignty from encroachment both internally and externally.
OORP What kind of experience do you have on Discovery?: RP, PvP, the latter was usually more. All this lasted for many years. Text RPGs outside of Discovery have also played their part, and so I'll easily understand what is required of me.

IRP Name: Chris Howard Age: 24 Height: 6'3 Weight: 187 lbs Biography: I was born on the planet Manhattan. My parents were unfortunately killed in a plane crash when I was 14 years old. I went through a difficult time as a teenager because I had no one to look up to. I had to live in the cold and dangerous streets of Manhattan. Because of my self-sufficiency, I excelled in insight, acumen and had no problem dealing with difficult situations. I graduated from West Point Military Academy with great grades. I later joined the police force where I honed both my physical prowess and my knowledge of the laws.

Liberty Navy Fifth Fleet
IRP Name: Brandon Jack Jax Age: 30 Height: 5'9 Weight: 180 lbs Biography: Born on planet Houston, in the Texas system.
I mostly went for studies in technology and engineering until I turn 30 and decide to sign up for the Navy. My doors were open for Deep Space Engineering, but I preferred to be close of Liberty than going far from home. I am not really a great pilot, but if necessary, I can be on the field and if ordered. I am mostly called by Jack instead of Brandon.
To go into details, I am a maniac in terms of technology and I hope to bring ideas to develop something for the fleet. I can spend hours only to think for something, but once the idea is clear, I can make a quick draft.
What's your motivation for joining our fleet?: I’d like to share my knowledge for the research and development department.
OORP What kind of experience do you have on Discovery?: I have three years of experience in this community and that's pretty much.
IRP Name: Aurore Collier Age: 20; DOB 03/15/814 Height: 5'8" (173cm) Weight: 140lbs (63.5kg) Biography: My sister and I grew up in a poor family in New Breauxbridge, Planet Houston, TX. Surrounded by crime despite the best intentions of our parents, we both found ourselves doing a stint in juvie at the age of eleven for petty theft. I suppose the best way to put it would be that unlike many of our peers, the "scared straight" tactic worked, and we started taking our studies -- and the law -- quite seriously. I worked as a courier and metal-press operator's apprentice during highschool to help make ends meet. On the rare occasions we had the time, my sister and I would go for LPI ride-alongs, and as we were graduating highschool, we took our first space flight. As soon as we left atmosphere, I knew I had to be a pilot. I enlisted three days later.
My training at West Point was, in objective terms, quite unremarkable, but I was astounded at the dedication of my colleagues, the experience of my instructors, and just how well I adapted to the structure and security of military life. Upon graduation, I was pleased to learn that I was part of the one-third of my class being assigned for active duty and would have to apply for a specific fleet.
What's your motivation for joining our fleet?: I believe that the focused and flexible missions the Fifth Fleet specializes in suit my aptitudes, as my upbringing instilled a deep versatility and adaptability in me. The tight structure of the Fifth as opposed to the Secondary appeals to me; I believe that it is this environment within the Navy I can most thrive in and thus best serve my country and set an example for my fellow Libertonians.
OORP What kind of experience do you have on Discovery?: I've been playing for many years now, and have experience with Freelancer and Discovery from multiple different angles. I've lead factions both official and unofficial, been in HCs, and been a rank-and-file log-to-shootmans. I'm starting to think I enjoy the latter the most as it gives me the most freedom to develop my character's personality and social relations while simplifying the guidelines I have to obey ingame. While my pvp skills are lackluster, my roleplaying skills -- I'd like to think -- meet a high bar. I think the 5th will give me wonderful opportunities to improve upon the former while getting to enjoy the latter in a comparatively low-stress environment. I'm quite familiar with the military dynamic.
