A new option should be added to the mod if we add a French (france) faction.
Press "key" to surrender.
Description: This function strips all the guns mounted on a player ship as well as the shields, mine launchers, CD, etc. Sending them all in the void of space. Only the CM will remain on the ship, in case of strategic retreat. If you are flying a vanilla ship, you will also lose all your components and wings.

YUS!
Modified Blue Screen of Death for Frenchies: "Press any key to surrender"
Quote:Actually they realized there was nothing important there, and didn't want to have anything to do with men wearing skirts kilts and occasionally flashing people before battles started.
And even today, on all maps everything north of the English county of Northumberland is simply marked "terror incognita" and "here be dragons". Even satellite images of the area are too blurred to make out any details. We don't think anyone really lives there though. It's just a desolate wasteland.
oh and as an aside (with all this talk of games), has anyone played Europa Universalis 3? XD
'Bout "frenches" territory, I wonder if a Freeport could be next to the "entrance" ? Zoners are probably the sirius people who explore the most systems, looking for a place to call "home" (they have Gran Canaria, now, they'll need support planets) and I think they are the most likely to discover this new civilisation...
PS : this is the last try of a poor french to bring serious stuffs in this thread... Before 5 more pages of floods...
EDIT : Well, here we go... out for a while !
OK for gentle RP, OK for gentle PvP too. What do you prefer ?
Hurk hurk hurk...
[\JG/]Pim (mercenary, ex-IMG)(Raven's talon, New London and New Berlin mainly)
John Smith(independant trader, ex-contract killer on Manhattan)(Heavy Tanker)
Some say that he is allergic to a fungus found only between the toes of Corsairs,
and that he is oblivious to 98% of Liberty Law. All we know is... He's called the Busdriver!

I think Pim has a very good point. The Zoners could give the fledgling house money to interact with other Sirius factions and materials to build... stuff, and in return they claim a stake in the House's government. A freeport near the entrance would be a good idea and would act as a staging post for player to head into uncharted terrirories.
Zoners give the French house updated tech, so they are no longer completely behind. In return, they get to set up trading posts in French space. Think about it, an ENTIRE new house to trade with, lots of money to be made.
