Woah, I love that one, Selena. Minimalistic and great.

The contrast from the red and blue here is nice, though I personally would have chosen green, orange or yellow, matching the colours of the Omegas and Omicrons.
Anyways, awesome signature, way to go!

Edit: and I love that font! Where did you get it? Dafont.com?

Thanks a lot for the font names, Selena!

@teschy: Man, that map is awesome. I absolutely dig the nebulae with the symbols for ice, radiation etc.

Only two suggestions: if you look closely (maybe tune up the brightness in order to see it), the edges of the Barrier nebula layer are visible and give it a cut-off and artificial look ('specially left of Edinburgh and below Dublin and Omega-47).
Also, I'd prefer the system names in white, 'cause it's a more neutral colour - but that's just my taste:)

Anyways, great work! After seeing you guys 'n girls so actively designing, I'm really craving to get PS running:P

Heh, thanks for the feedback. It's my first attempt at creating a map, and I'm quite pleased with the results, mainly from the fact that I didn't spend much time on it.

Which got me thinking, I might possibly do a full Sirius map, and factions could request customized ones, based on it. Then again, this brings the question: are people actually interested in such things?

Well, it ain't that hard, just gotta find the right set of brushes and match the colors. After that, some lighting adjustments and color enhancements in order to replicate the nebulas as good as possible.

Im assuming that this would be the place to ask a question of mine:

After one has downloaded a font from a site such as dafont.com, how does one get access to it either gimp or word?

Umm, usually when I download a font, I just go to C:\Windows\Fonts, and paste it in. It will automatically appear in Word, Photoshop, Gimp or whatever program you're using, no matter if it's running already.
