First of all, I want to give kudos to the captain of Sapphire, we flew together from Rheinland to Bretonia, and had nice inRP argument about corporations, IMG and such things. Usual bullying between members of megacorporation and new, small company. Although I'm bit surprised when it comes to the idea of company director having his office on a transport, regular transport flying with supplies, except that I enjoyed conversation a lot.


But, there are also bad things I wanted to point out, sadly.


Roleplaying out member of both company and navy is a big no-no in my opinion. I've got some bad experiences with powergaming person pretending to be director of shipping company and higher-up in police faction, and was dissapointed to discover similar thing goes on in Gateway.

You wont however get a fully repped GMS Hegemon mining ship ready to start mining Aluminium Ore in Koeln for less than the price of a new one!

Gallic corporation ship mining ore for Bretonian company, in Rheinland in addition, is just wrong. Both inRP and ooRP, from the server rules perspective. I hope you weren't using GMS alt to mine aluminium ore for Gateway IDed ships, were you?

Belarusich already addressed the Aakopa issue. I also fly in the BAF, but not under the same character. Several other BAFers also fly in Bowex.

on the aakopa issue, he did indeed have some strange metagaming ideas which were out of sync of gateway mehodology and rp. If he had not quit I was gonna fire him anyway.

Thanks for your feedback, but you can be rest assured. Multifactioning of Gateway chars is not happening like what aakopa was doing.

You pointed out quite a curious thing though in that Gateway Executive (GSX tag) using transports as mobile offices well, Gateway Company structure is much different to other factions in that we run a democracy, with a voting board of executives that pass votes on company policy and in the case of incompetance even have the power to vote out / override the CEO and vote in a new one.

As such all members in gateway are seen as equals and thus even execs haul and use transports like the rest of gateway.

We are a pseudo Communist Democracy or comradeship.

Technically, Magic.Carpet is a separate char he uses, and otherwise has no connection to Gateway at all. So, I don't really see how it applies.

That's a bit different than your idea of using Molly/Rogue ID bombers to defend our base in Cortez, isn't it?

My point is that pilot of magic carpet is zoner and gateway member same time... Also my bomber had Freelancer ID at least and I explained how she got that ship.
I mean suddenly Gateway recruitment officer gets zoner carrier with prototype tech and starts jumping Gateway around without registering his ship, I think lawful company should do that.
