How many people have you seen actually RP then as colony ships?

how about we combine the ideas?

restrict the BSes as sugested before, and for those who actually will RP colony ships, put in colony liners as you suggest.

or if they so desperately need the juggie, then have jinx use the juggy model and make a modified version without guns.

so that way, those who actually have a good reason to have armed juggies have them, and everyone else has their colony ships.

Should they still have a colony ship? Yes, but it shouldn't be a full-fledged battleship. Either make a colony liner, or nerf the speed/firepower of the Jinkusu to make it represent a mobile freeport (which is the purpose of it), kinda like the Barge, but not as extreme.

That's another viable solution, but it would require a lot of admin work. AFAIK, the carrier was supposed to be the "combat centered" Zoner "battleship" of choice, rather than the Nephilim. It would just mean that colony ships are used more appropriately as colony ships, and ships that were meant to be zoner "warships" are used more for combat - rather than the reverse where the colony ship often sees more combat than the carrier does.

i do think thats how it was supposed to be as well, but then people see the number of guns and the armor level on a juggie and we end up with the problem that we have now.

You know its funny in-game zoners dont really do anything / have enemies and therefore dont need heavy caps like battleships but inRP there is a case for them to have battleships like I explained earlier.

So now Im confused..........

in-game and in-lore dont always match up due to many reasons.

They don't need them, period. Not to mention, most Zoner communities don't even have enough people to crew a Nephy. They can easily hold Nomads at bay while awaiting Order reinforcments with just a squad of snubs. Besides it's not like Zoners have easy access to the amount of resources needed for a Neph, in most cases they would have to import minerals from elsewhere which is treacherous as is.

It's unlikely to happen, but I approve this change. And yeah btw, a few years ago it's almost happened.

Nephilims were meant to be -rare- and only with ability to be seen in the edge worlds(because of colony ship role). By roll play there's no other chance to travel in edge worlds in a ship with less size of cruiser. Nephilim is multirole ship - as we are RP them "homeships". Some people mobile freeports, and go on... Very valuable ship inRP, but someone was able to screw it's reputation completely.

It has no real usage if to say according to Zoner ID and rules(and I wonder why), but ZA managed use them "we're at war no rp anymore" without any problems.
