How do we reduce player apathy/Leaving rates?

Take cryengine or Unreal engine.

Duplicate the overall ship handling model without having to import any freelancer ascetics. Name it whatever you want. People will still play it.

No, we quite accurately pinpointed the problem as the host itself several months ago.

So the only chance now is waiting for the old, apathetic players and the newcoming ones to donate massively and then hope to see that the issue is fixed.

When all's said and done, the real attraction for me has always been other players to play with.

That's why I've advocated reducing systems, and stopping the spreading-out of players that new systems create. I think 9/10 non-vanilla systems should be removed (jump holes into them taken out, jump holes out left in, so characters can still leave) to help players meet each other and have activity. ESPECIALLY now that we have the decrease in player numbers, its needed even more.

I heard that with this update, a buffer system had been added between tau 37 and Omicron Alpha with the express purpose of PREVENTING activity between these system's players, to which I can only ask;

To be honest, we're seeing old players return at the same time.

Generally though, the lag is the obvious one and has been said a million times. Plus decent computers = playing other, modern games.

Then again having said that, a lot of people are playing WoW, Hearthstone, LoL etc right now. Likely a product of the server not being up to scratch, though.

That's still a fair number of people that are still in factions, reducing numbers of players on the server. A small portion it may be but there aren't a huge number of people that still play. All counts.

It's not just a PVP problem.

Happens with me most of the time. I even got a high Fluct to aid it, but thats not the reason or not a sufficient reason for people to start leaving the game, is it ??

Lag spikes are occasional. Happens during brawls or when the server is real laggy, but it doesn't happen all the time where you can't see the messages you send !!
