@jihad: yes, you are right - but there is a different quality between the outcast / corsair war - and the BHG / order war. - its a bit like that....
outcasts and corsairs or hessians and corsairs are at a war that has left its original cause behind. - its fighting for the sake of fighting. - of course, we still know the original origin - but todays combat between corsairs and outcasts is hardly about the fact that the hispania was once sabotaged... means, that the war would not end if it turned out ( now ) that it was nither of both, but in fact ..... the french.
so the war they fight is like a mild rain if you wanne compare it like that - a rain that goes steady and without any end in sight.
the war between the order and BHG is a fresh war with its original "idea" still present. its more like a burst of rain that will soon end, but that went much much stronger. - ( don t know if this metaphor is really fitting )
the war between the corsairs and outcasts has reached a level that you find between neighbours sometimes. - they re fighting and fighting and fighting - mostly not with nukes, but on a very low, but none the less fiercer level. - none of them would want to loose ground as the reason to fight is no practical reason anymore, but something abstract like honour.
the war between the BHG and the order ( or kusari and bretonia ) is a war that could end if one side gave up ( impossible to think of one side in the outcast or corsair war to give up, they would rather perish ) or if the reason was gone ( for example - nomads were finally defeated ) - the war is not abstract but real. it is not on a subtle level that can carry on for ages, its led with brute force - in a RP sense, they are activly invading the affairs of the order.
in the corsair outcast war.... its somewhat unthinkable that one side would really WANT to end the war... it has become their point of existance - and people don t like to give that up... even if its a pain, but its something that defines both groups.
but....
maybe i am totally wrong with that analysis and both wars are indeed identical.
' Wrote:One way JHs are do-able. If I'm right, in 4.83 the Chugoku-Sigma13 JH was only one way, the other way was locked.
That was actually a bug. It wasn't visible on scanners or nav map. You had to find it visually and select it. But it wasn't locked. But yes, one-way jump holes ARE possible. But jump holes can't be locked, only gates can.
I thought they ALL were one-way. By that I mean this:
JH - - - - - - >
< - - - - - - JH
There's a "landing zone" for each one. One way JH = One landing zone and one takeoff point.
I may be totally on the wrong track though.

No, they are two-way, but what your thinking is a method of making them one way. You have to make the two-way jump hole, then you must remove the jump hole from one system, while leaving the exit zone, and making sure it still works. Another way is to simply move the jump hole away from the exit zone. Move it ~50k off the map and no one will ever find it.
@Dab: if that worked.... we could really put a direct connection from dresden or 56 to delta. - serious BHG would get to their destination without fuss - and the ooRP campers would have no excuse anymore. - i think that would be a great feature. - and they cannot come back easily.... which is GOOD, cause they are not meant to.... .
Putted a JH in NY to the LSF guard system.
The LSF guard system is already linked to ALaska.
In the ini file, there is a line "goto" that I changed from [NY->LSFGuard JH]-[LSFGuard->NY JH] to [NY->LSFGuard JH]-[LSFGuard->Alaska].
So when you jump in, you will appear at the LSF->Alaska JH, but you would come from NY. Although, If you take the LSF->Alaska JH, you will end up in Alaska.
Me thinks it could be possible to put a JH at one end (entrance) and a Buoy at the other end (exit), So you could get in, but there won't be any other way back.
(I tested and everything was stable, not a single bug)

when you have skype, there is something that you can use to call others. they camp with cap ships? so we rape them with bombers... (and it was really nice to see last time, how they start to escape when 5 bombers undocked in the same time...)
jinx:
you are asking how can bh fly to delta. One question, camping in front of crete is flying to delta? that are two different things....only way how you can fly to crete, is when you will fly to crete.... ways between jumpholes not close to crete....
other question is, why they attack pirates without bounty? what profit is from that? (i know, i ask that everyday on forums....)
maybe we(corsairs) can make the same as Bh, park all our bombers in their home system, and lets see, if they come back to defend it. and when they can come in battleships.(not so much of them has smaller ship as gs ...) bombers can kill them really fast ....
