Good luck guys! Also, Firefly don't exist anymore, it is Serenity now. So i suggest changing this:

Good call!
Im gonna change this now. Also I will be adding Democritus to the list as well as Starflier as a 'special ship'(because i just got one and will have it for RP/SRP plan for AFC).

ALSO i will be starting a conversation soon on this thread about a proposed separate ID. Stay tuned.

So I mixed the FL ID with what I wanted to come up with this for a proposition for starting to think what would be an actual ID for this faction:

Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a AFC, who:

Can attack any ship in self-defense or defense of own base or to protect an allied or neutral ship.
Can fulfill any bounty, pirate, and escort contracts, and may treat transports as combat targets when executing a bounty or escort contract against them.
May pirate in chapter claimed space (Bering, Coronado, Kepler)
Can only use ships allowed by the club except if SRPed.
May demand possession of slaves/VIPs and my demand destruction on cardamine.
May get caught by cops for speeding, drinking and driving, high and driving, etc...
Must follow ZOI for sub-tags.
Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo, except for the Pirate Train.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats.

Of coarse some of these points are covered by contracts that can be done such as AFC already has contract with IMG in terms of slaves and the cardi one can be done as well. Therefore those lines can be edited to:

Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a AFC, who:

Can attack any ship in self-defense or defense of own base or to protect an allied or neutral ship.
Can fulfill any bounty, pirate, commodity confiscation and escort contracts, and may treat transports as combat targets when executing a bounty or escort contract against them.
May pirate in chapter claimed space (Bering, Coronado, Kepler)
Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo, except for the Pirate Train.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats.

NOTE: I would have to figure out how to include VIPs into it. Or maybe might not be necessary? Dunno.

If you compare you will see what can be implyed so that it can be less rules overal and most would be implied.
The first set however is everything I can think of. the second set is it all condensed.

Lets have some feedback!

The way I am doing it is that im mixing what i want that is derived in RP with what the FL ID states...
So no... i dont really feel compelled to change the line about more cargo space.
AFC cannot get bisons anyway.... not really in the faction spirit.

I think I have a decent idea for how to manage the legal/criminal situation that's going on with the club:

Instead of asking for a custom ID for the whole club, what if you continued to use the Freelancer ID for the main membership (and thus unable to take unlawful bounties, but preserving the legal credibility of the club), especially Arrows and other official vessels which you'll want the freedom to fly wherever.

THEN, you ask for a custom 1%ers ID as a sub-group of the club which the member would switch to if/when they fulfill that criteria. That ID would be something like the one you're proposing, a Freelancer ID with slightly more unlawful options. Then, if/when the law enforcement players start itching for the fr5 or other types of punishments, they can properly punish the more unlawful ID without it coming down on the entire club.

I think this would be a good way to balance both sides of the equation all under one tag, and it's essentially what real life MCs do. As long as they maintain the appearance of separation between club activities and the crimes of individuals that just happen to be members, they can keep their clubs running.

Freelancer ID can already fulfill unlawful bounties.

You are correct, sir. My mistake. I meant they would voluntarily refrain from unlawful bounties on characters not designated as 1%ers, not that those bounties were not available to the ID.

Otherwise, a few screenshots of members committing crimes will get the whole club fr5ed and/or the idea of the 1%er goes out the window for fear of it.

I definitely phrased the one part poorly, but what about the idea mechanically? I think those that prefer or end up on the seedier side would get the freedom to be bad, while keeping the legal side available to race and trade without hindrance.

The ID would have bad rep with lawfuls, so maybe it could work out as a way to appease law enforcement. Say a member gets in trouble smuggling and doing unlawful bounties, you don't deny he's in the club because with his colors you can't. Instead, you say publicly to the cops "He must be one of that 1%er gang. We don't support illegal activity, we're a racing club." and they get their 1%er ID that applies the necessary diplomacy adjustments.

Then it would also occur more naturally. Rather than deciding to be a 1%er by completing a task, it could come as a natural reaction to law enforcement pressure. That way, the distinction is earned by a proven track record rather than one single moment.
