Excuse me, Mister... Bob, but how long were you in jail for? Surely no drug offence has a prison sentence for so many decades that one has forgotten that our current monarch, who has ruled for a good many years (and long may it continue), is in fact a Queen.

The Recruitment Officer looked at the next form.

This James Hobart seems like a good lad. Simple son of miners.

Good Enough. This war was throwing lots of such lads into the meat grinder.

The recruitment officer looked at the stumps where his legs used to be.

Ours is not to reason why...

He snickered, shook off the melancholy and went back to work.

The next one was a bloody mess. Smelled like Cardi, too.

Drug dealers need not apply.

A relatively young man walked into the recruitment office. Looking around the somewhat empty room, he questioned "This is the BAF Recruitment Office, then?"

"That it is." The assisstant replied.

"Right. I'm here to sign up."

"Fill one of those in." She pointed him to a pile of application forms.

Name: Chris J Wallace
Age: 24
Home Planet: New London
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 83kg
About Myself:
Call me a cliche, if that floats your boat. I grew up on New London like countless others, average family, average grades at school, average job. I hated it all. So, like a good little patriot, I came here. I'll be honest, I'm in it for the kicks. Nothing more. Nothing less. I don't give a rat's arse about how evil these Kusari pilots are or how I should fight for Queen & country yada yada. So how about you put me in a Templar and get yet another mindless drone into the skies to be shot down "in the glory of battle"?

The recruitment officer looked over his glasses at the young Mr Chris Wallace.

"Son, I see in your cynicism a reflection of my own blackened heart. That trait will help you deal with the hell you are about to go through. Welcome aboard!"

Young Mr James Tucan, we can always use more bomber pilots. Can't drive those bloody things myself. Seem to get killed in them easily.

Must be my advanced age.

A Viper is simply not an option. If you are a bomber pilot, you will be assigned a Challenger, and a Templar if you want it.

*A young man walks into the recruitment center and starts looking around.*

"You there!" - Officer at desk shouts.

"Me?" - He asks, confused.

"Aye lad, you. Come here" - Officer says. - "How may i help you kid?"

"Oh well. I was wondering, where do I sign up, to become a pilot of the Armed Forces." - He asks.

"Kid, you are at the right place. Take this, and fill it in." - Officer gives him a piece of paper.

He fills in the application form.

Age:19
Name: Rodney Trotter
Birthplace: New London
Nationality: Bretonian
Reason for joining:
One day, walking down the street, I saw a giant poster, on the wall. No photos, just giant words.
"BRETONIA NEEDS YOU!" was the whole text. At first, I did not think about it. Then I remembered,
that my father died by the Corsair hands, while flying for Gateway. I was trying to forgat his death
for 13 years now, and I almost did. But that poster, that piece of paper, reminded me. I was cowardly
sitting at home, safe, doing nothing, while others gave lives for our home. So i felt obliged to do my part,
and serve the great nation of Bretonia.

He hands officer the application form. - "So then, will this be enough?" - He asks.

The recruitment officer took the form, stamped it, and returned one copy, saying as he did so;

"Son, you are surely accepted. Bretonia needs pilots."

As the soon-to-be-Ensign was leaving, the recruitment officer gave his parting words.

"Soon, you will be able to get back at the Corsairs. Trust me."

A young woman, with a fit body and...ample shape, in the right places, standing about 5"3 and maybe about the age of nineteen, walked slowly into the recruitment office of the BAF, she wore black boots and a black knee cut skirt and a dark red collared blouse.

Brushing her shoulder length golden hair out of her face as she looked about, her crystal blue eyes taking in almost every detail of the rather drab looking recruitment office and the several "Flag waving" BAF posters about the walls, she let out a soft sigh and walked over to the Recruiter's Desk, softly placing her hands on the desk and leaning forward a little bit. "Uhm...Excuse me..Sir?..this is..where I sign up to be a BAF Fighter pilot?..right?" Her tone was soft yet it held in it, determination and seriousness.

The Recruiter looked up from his paper work and when he saw her he almost fainted, a smile crossed his lips as he nodded to her.

"Aha..Yes ma'am, this is where you sign up for the BAF, Uh, what's your name?..Um....Oh right! sign here" The recruiter sounded almost nervous as he slid a clipboard with an application on it to her, she began to fill it in, smiling slightly as she did so. "My name is Amanda Churchill"

Name:Amanda Churchill
DOB:November 11th, 797
POB:London City, Planet New London.
Family:None/Deceased.
Previous Experience:My father taught me to fly a Starblazer before he died, and I took a job escorting Traders around Bretonia for three years.

Reason for Enlisting: I want to defend my Homeland and my friends and countrymen from criminals and foreign enemies.
Desired Occupational Specialty: I would like to be a Very Heavy Fighter pilot.

Are you Willing to deploy abroad: Yes, I will follow my orders to the best of my ability.

She let out another soft sigh and signed her name at the bottom of the paper, sliding it back to the Recruiter. "Here you go, I really hope you will accept me into service, I promise you I will defend our people 'til my final breathe!"

//OOC: I guess, PM me with your response and details if you accept me, thanks, unless I'm online in the forums then I'll be checking back here.
