Everywhere you go on this forum there are moneysink discussion threads. Alright - so I've read your post. Things will keep being the same things.
Ship loss = Yeah, you get to spend your money.
Big ship loss = you get to spend a lot of money.
Both of those will make players mad.
No ship loss = You have money. A lot of money. Nothing to use that money on.
No big ship loss = Same thing.
I must be really tired or just damn brainless but I don't see the point of this thread.

if you see the game only for the credits then your looking at it wrong.
there is a reason why this game is alive for so long. Credits is only the first layer
Perhaps there is more to it than credits, like what you can buy and roleplay with in exchange for extra cash. Like how money can't buy you happiness or petrol can't build you a car. Your car still runs on fuel. Credits are never the goal but the means to achieve a goal, has always been like that.
Besides, a lot of people looking at it wrong grant targets for piracy and thus also job for police.
Well. This tread reminds me why I had stopped playing discovery, because of the lack of direction what disco wants to be. Having a community that do not trust each other, having staff not able to implement FUNDAMENTAL things in a proper way that suits a RP environment. Within the current state RP suffers due to the lack of consequences of PvP which completely destroys the immersion of the game.
The title says Discovery RP Server. I can't read something about Discovery semi-RP Server or anything that prepares me having joined an often headless PvP.
The only serious moneysink we have is the even pretty bad request system for SRP which implementation feels like a punch in the face for a RPer.
