I don't believe leaving threads accomplish anything worthwhile. The poster normally engages in a prolonged rant about whatever, thus incurring flames from Community members. To be honest, I feel the Mods should lock them up on site, and maybe invise them if the OP gets too out of line.

YES PLS, as long as an account is set up that automatically asks the TC for their ships before the thread is locked.
