Director McCool,

Director Erzie's sudden disappearance might be related to Vonclouds appearance at Freeport 11. We got into it outside of 11 earlier last week and he made it plain to me that he was deeply troubled by our defensive actions around Corinth and made it sound as if he was planning on taking our research center from us. Here I'll include a bit of the conversation.

The Gryphon departed Ames late this afternoon with Gold Crew, the engineer team assigned to the Unity Project. We proceeded to jump to the Omicron Delta system, we then moved to Freeport 11. After which Gold Crew and their equipment were transferred to the Freeport. When re-fueling was completed we returned to Ames with a sampling of Iridium for the boys down in the lab.

While I understand that my sabbatical was unplanned I wanted to inform you that I have returned to Bethlehem to restaff the Aurora. In the short term in addition to my staffing issues I'm going to be running a full shakedown of the Aurora seeing as she hasn't moved in the better part of three months. Besides the news that I've caught wind of down at the bar are there any other pressing issues that need to be addressed?

Good to know you're seeing to making sure the dust mites stay away from the better side of our group. As for other pressing matters, we've actually had a sustainable level of success with our operations as of late, and fortunately, I don't have any tasks to assign, nor would I like to. Dr. Chandler has enlisted my help on a hyperspace project he has in the works. A Hyperspace Drone Swarm to be more exact. While the main research done body has been completed and fitted with the necessary jump devices we are lacking in a power source that can maintain the hyperspace field for the necessary amount of time. I was hoping to get your permission to have the Production Manager at Ames tool a set of Power Cells that will fit into the chassis of the drone for the continuation of his research.

You need not introduce yourself, nor be formal about addressing anyone on the board. "Doctor Erzie" is perfectly fine. As you learn to stretch your legs, and learn the ropes as it were, feel free to take on any project you wish. We have several delivery contracts open if you find yourself with some free time, and if you'd prefer to focus on fighter engineering, such as on the vessel you suggested, simply document your discoveries in our lab section. You're free to do as you wish, just let me know what kind of madness you attempt before you attempt it. Just don't put Ingenuus power cells on every hardpoint, and you should be fine. I'll have Corinth prepared for your arrival.
