CD cloak disruption ability?

If you like the CD's cloak disrupt ability then why have the Cloak Disruptors?

Here is my idea:
- Light Cloak charge time increased! ( So small ships won't get away so easily)
- Cloak Disruptor will disrupt not only working but charging cloaks too
- BUT remove CD's cloak disrupt

To disrupt people who are in cloak. CD only stops the one in progress.

There's honestly nothing wrong with it. It's down to you as the person to be competent with tool usage.

CD's right now are overpowered as... well you know what. A cheap device preventing a usage of almost anything, even stuff that costs many times more cash to get, is imho not a good thing. While I wholeheartedly agree there should be ways to counteract anything, giving CD power over cloaks in addition to all the other stuff it already does is not a good idea imho. Especially when we have dedicated thing to counter cloaks now.

Reduce cost of cloak disruptors to make them more accesible, give them ability to disrupt even charging cloaks, and strip the abilty to disrupt charging cloaks from CD. THat's my take on things.

My main concern is this:

CLOAKING DEVICES: 120 MIL- 400 MIL $ - MUST BE BUILT
JUMP DRIVES: 250 MIL - 400 MIL $ - MUST BE BUILT
CRUISE DISRUPTORS: 10k - 200k $ - CAN BE BOUGHT ANYWHERE

Why not have Cloak disruptors do both jobs?

People with Cloaks have put a lot of effort to have one. What effort is it to buy a CD?
I agree to have a cloak countermeasure. But it shouldn't be as cheap and universal as a CD.

+1 to this.

As a long term cloak user I want people to be able to act against me. Otherwise it's not fair. But let the Cloak Disruptor do the job. CD was a temporary solution. Same goes to Jump Drives.

Is this one of many threads where you can throw in your hate towards cloaks again?

The issue is that cloaks are just way too common in disco. They should be limited to people that do have the necessary RP background. The human cloak is nothing else than a cheap copy of the nomad cloak. Everyone can build and use cloaks thesedays. A PoB is all what is necessary. And that's just crap.
We have limitations for everything, right? Nomad cloaks are limited to nomad factions only. Same goes for the Hybrid cloak. So why shouldn't the human cloak be limited too? Let's say to: Core, Order, Intelligence factions, and SRP ships.

Ever visited the GTA SA server LoG? Not sure if this is still the case, but i remamber me that you can't buy a gun there until you are member of a faction or you got the permission of an admin to carry one. As civilian you can only buy a handgun, while faction members have access to MPs, rifles and what ever. You can also get rid of this permission if you misbehave. Otherwise too many people, newbies including, would use a gun to shoot everything on sight and destroy the RP environment. Just like disco, the LoG has strict engagement rules.

So yeah, this is a RP server. Don't spread cloaks as if they were commonly available iRP. Don't make them useless again because we already have efficient countermeasures.
