Our relationship with Gaians started off pretty badly. We'll be working on fixing it iRP though.

There's one thing I feel like I should address when it comes to Custodi and the fact that we haven't been getting much activity lately.

As it stands, Custodi started off with quite a bit of enthusiasm from our members and nice activity spike which eventually started falling due to certain unexpected technical issues in the cases of two of our members and further general dissatisfaction with the state of the game and the community of several other ones. For the last month, we've been lacking the member base to do any meaningful RP projects or arrange proper PvP situations.

As I've mentioned to several people before, Custodi started as a faction made by people generally dissatisfied with how the Corsair playerbase had been approaching the Corsair roleplay and gameplay and determied to do something about it. Unfortunately due to the circumstances described one paragraph above as well as certain outside influences this is currently very difficult to work with.

So if you are generally interested in this faction and would like to join, please shoot me a message on skype or Discord. Otherwise I fear I might be forced to put this on life support, something I'd rather not do considering quite a bit of work that has already gone into this faction.

what's the point of making so many different factions under the same affiliation? the community doesn't have that many people

I think it may be coming from different approach to Corsairs, as @Corile pointed out. Once every subfaction is in one faction, the issue might be leadership which would say "you cannot do this or that as a subfaction" or "we do not agree with your going away from the lore".

I like the idea of the custodi, as they are a good counterpart of what the Maltese have with their five thousand factions with established society. I hope you'll get a new activity boost. Maybe some minor goals would help you. Motivators!

We tried to continue classical approach with Sairs years ago, but we faced a wall of meh, apathy, laziness, boredom and even hate. We lost Benitez and Black Sails in a similar way you are losing Custodi now. They just melted for various reasons. I think they just failed to offer something new. That weird Elder Joey noticed a need for change well and Sairland went a long way from bad-ass to whatever we are now. Did we have any choices where to go? No. We simply went where Community was opening a way for us. Community is like a market that you must sell yourself to. If you find it disgusting, then simply relax, assimilate to other factions and do what they do. I do it once per a week and it freakin' feels good.

Custodi is a very good product with huge potential for better Community. Just find out what do you have that Community needs. Be different in it and advertise it more. Pick your colour, put it on a stick and stick to it.

Empire can provide food share centres at North Crete for you, joining forces on raids (only in cases when you want it) and any other support, or acknowledge. We just can't agree about giving our churches, as we pray to our Dirty Goddess Santa Muerte *crosses to please his Goddess in hope for a colder place in Hell one day*.
