I don't see how this affects anything to be honest.

I do have a question though, would we be able to request our characters to be mentioned in some infocards behind the scenes? I had an idea like this in mind for one of my characters, but I know the policy on infocards has always been made to strictly exclude individual characters.

the 1bil requirement is a nice money sink since most players just inherit them from others who leaves the game and in some cases even entire npc factions without working toward getting their faction approved and all that

but sadly i don't think that's why it's been requested, to create a moneysink, to force peoples to log ingame ..
i think the only reason its been done is because they lack the manpower to implement even small changes

People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..

How will the devs themselves handle their own storyline progressions and faction developments, which are bound to benefit some factions/players and not others? How will you guarantee that you wont slip certain "requests" made behind closed doors in the mod free of credits but not free of personal bias (assuming you keep the mentioned requirements).

3. I strongly encourage you to add a layer of community quality control to requests to find out about possible plot holes, contradictions, and possibly woes the community will have with something BEFORE you implement them (you will inevitably hear about it afterwards anyway). This could be done by making requests visible, and giving the community the opportunity to give feedback (which staff or the person requesting have no obligation to take into account), leaving the requesting person the opportunity to correct mistakes or include good ideas that they didn't have.

The big issue with these is that there is a history of these not being met, in fact, encouraged. It's nice to see these promises made but it'd be good to see some substance attached.

Lets be realistic here, this is not a proposal to make things better otherwise you would have come up with something that has a minimum of logic to it instead of this nonsense.

This is an attempt to create an artificial bottleneck through ridiculous requirements. This isnt really a good way to fix a lack of manpower.

this is a certified bruh momentum

i thought this was a really good idea back when it was first devised but the sheer hilarity of a combined fee and cooldown time subject to the whims of the development staff on top of the fact that the money isn't even refundable if it gets approved is a real galaxy brain maneuver

bake em away, toys, you've really outdone yourselves this time

2019 and you can finally have your player-driven roleplay actually matter

BUT you have to pay one billion credits to even try

Wow.

So basically what we're seeing here is this:

1) you pay a billion credits, non-refundable, to maybe get someone to look at your thing and determine whether or not they like it enough to make it real
2) that request can be anything ranging in scope from "pls make that time i cybered with someone for an osiris canon" to "takin' over a system lol"
3) the whole process is completely hidden behind closed doors from the community so only the dev team can see what's going on while they maybe think about voting on it

I can already see certain requests being approved in minutes flat while others stall out for a year or more before being answered with a "No."

Christ, guys. The community hates you enough already. Why the hell would you post this?
