doing some light reading today (psychology/academic philosophy/political science/other joke subjects)
it's cute how they publish papers with these small references and bibliographies and citations that look like^[1] this
it makes it superficially resemble like a physical experiment or a medical study
everyone wants to do real non-larp science, but seeing citations on stuff that's like "we polled 1000 people about their emotions after eating asparagus" feels like when your six year old child brings you a drawing to hang on the fridge
i do it on the forums because it's fun and cute as well
