I will briefly point out that as with all things that happen in test builds, the video linked is already technically out of date as we have made a handful of (pretty major, at times) further changes since then.

It's still a good impression of what the class aims to be like in duels, however.

You really only see the text you want to see? I, personally, wasn't part of the testers selection (but I know those who were) and battlecruisers do not underperform. From what I see and hear, both duels and fleet combat is about to make another 180 degrees flip and one thing can be told for sure from what we've seen with cruisers already: all the new guns are not lacking in raw damage.

We tested (and are testing) all sorts of constellations with Battlecruisers.
Trust me, the primaries are more than enough to deter bombers and the flaks are really-really much cooler and useful than current ones. The prims effectively feel scarier than 10 solaris gatlings on live to me.

That's what we have fighters for, defending the caps against bombers is their job. IMO it promotes team work and makes things less "muh cap can do it all" gameplay, makes encounters and group battles more interesting.

one (1) high powered missile is going to render battlecruisers entirely useless by destroying their regen, shields, and movement speed at the same time

cruisers reverted to 4.85 battleship combat of ramming into each others faces and now 4.84 explodium of ships dying instantly (or BCrs being made useless in this case) by a single missile
no volume of fire so easily avoided by cruisers, no volume of fire to fend off bombers or fighters (much to hastes enjoyment no doubt, another patch session of making sure nothing can harm his precious snubs)

job well done as usual
id wait for the patch but im not going to hold my breath if the cruiser update is ANY sort of estimate as to how well this will go
