Sombs just because you saw a barge now, it doesn't mean that is ok she got nerfed because she wasn't nerfed yet. for someone that file a report that can not use a cloak for free and had to buy batteries ... yep!!! that sounds sad! Chenzo is right like many barge owners are angry but still waiting for a final decision. so my advise Chenzo is to wait and see.
Why would there be a need to refund? Am sorry, but pretty much everything changed. Everything is different. Do cruiser players get refunds, because cruisers are different? No. Do transport players get refunds because their transports lost a 1k space cause they can mine? No. Don't see no reason why anyone should get refund for barges either. You bought a massively oversized ship, fully knowing it might get changed in the future, since everything in the game is fluid and everchanging.

Again, apples and pears. The change on the barge is intended, the stuff regarding my two ships is unintentional. Please inform yourself about the situation at hand instead of throwing completely unrelated matters into the discussion. I know you are heated, but think before writing.

Me heated? Why should i? The only thing i lost here was a furnace thruster and a admin said is going to take care of it. the people i see that are heated is chenzo, you and few more people. chenzo is too worried about what can happen, and you and some ... don't know why so heated discution.
of course is unrelated. you had something that you used one way and now you can't, but still can use, and barges can be used one way and when the nerf comes they can't but they can still be used ... wait ... ohhhhh! yeah!
all ships changes that is true, but one thing is simply make some changes on a class of ships that is going to make alll the same or more balance, other thing is to take a special overprice ship and completly make it not be able to use. the barge is already a nightmare to use, even on trade lanes, she as no defence to any pirate that don't even need to destroy it to make the owner very piss, so nerf it? if the excuse is that she can carry alot of ore and make fortunes fast ... well first no more ores to make those fortunes, and second what about all the trade to make the old 15bil to buy the barge?

I'd not have bought any barges if I knew or was advised things were going to change.
In fact, I was explicitly told that as they were removed entirely before, they would never be changed again due to the massive uproar it caused.
When they were brought back, it was for good.
As I said in the OP, let's wait to see what the final decision is- if it's a nerf, then refunds to be applied accordingly.
If you want to complain about your battleships, cruisers, and guns being changed and wanting refunds, make your own thread. Turning this into a pissing contest won't solve anything.
@Chenzo- and other barge pilots - if you did not see this coming, I have little sympathy for you and you have simply not been paying attention. When people like myself and Xenon suddenly sell their barges and then a "developer" suddenly sells his prior to the patch, the writing is on the wall. If it has not become clear to you by now that the developers care very little about player feedback, I don't know what to tell you. Hard to maintain interest in a community that behaves like that.

edit: I mean you must be, but with a place that houses so many weirdos as disco does, you never know.
Barge is nearly useless now without Speed buff, if our Dev team has such problems to balance that ship it would be maybe a way to give the owners a Cashback and remove the ship.
And i know what im talking about i got myself some of them and have hundreds of Hours on that ship.
The current State of it is bad, compared to a 5ker its not worth it anymore.
So, basicaly, you have bought a barge, powetraded in it to grind even more money, and now when that's no longer viable you want your money back? So you basically enjoyed the Barge's benefits for free? Nah. Don't think so.
