Fine, your guns have built in tampering prevention mechanisms. Mine are just unstable to begin with -- hybrid technology is just that dangerous to work with at the end of the day. We can work this out in the Prospero's labs as soon as I'm done with a thing in Liberty and after I find a lead in Kusari.
But we'll do that on the condition that the only copy of the schematics is kept with me. No House needs to know the workings of this profane union. Besides, I'm sure there is a treaty somewhere that prohibits this. We don't want the Buro to be caught red handed, do we?
These guns won't be for the Harbinger. They're for a much more immediate threat. One that directly challenged me to a one on one of sorts. The odds of winning are just about zero, but there's hope we can change that.
On the topic of Kusari: what do you make of the conflict between Liberty and Kusari? Do you think it will turn into an all out war? Do you plan on getting involved here and there?
Alien mechanisms are easier to piece together, but difficult to disassemble in a manner that accurately leaves the components for re-use. Likely one of the nomad's precautionary measures, or perhaps they just never saw a need to tamper with the weapons they had at the time.
The schematics and by extension the consequences will lie with you alone. I am strictly against the use of alien technology intertwining with our own based on our house's history with Alien infestation. This is another reason the schematics and concept behind my weapons remains closely guarded.
I've no desire for Rheinland to tamper in the coming conflict, I have no doubt now that Ageira's monopolization is challenged; Kusari will be openly attacked by the Liberty Navy in the coming weeks to secure their monopolization over interstellar travel and surveillance. I intend to use this time to get Rheinland ahead of the game in another frontier altogether, and to finish off the hornets nest we discovered in destroying Valhalla.
Keep me posted on whatever comes of this endeavor in Kusari, if it's truly something astounding I'm willing to make a short journey myself.
I'm going to advise against visiting Kusari right now. I made entry today -- and had the luck of making acquaintance with the Blood Dragons. It's a promising start, but I need to remain alert and not trigger any red flags. You coming here might put the entire operation at risk. If everything goes smoothly, you'll have your data fairly soon.
Though, for the record, the Blood Dragon I spoke with had told me about Kusari's current situation. They claim it is rotten to the core with The Wild's influence -- about as much as back when Niemann was alive, apparently. You might not want Rheinland involved, but you should consider alternatives if this rumor has some semblance of truth.
I'll do what I can to either confirm or debunk all this. Wish me good luck, I guess.
I wouldn't count on the Blood Dragons helping you out, Revenant already gave them the hint you're working for me.
You might try the GC, or perhaps even someone within the Core that might give you access to insight on Kusari's R&D. You can try to meet with the Blood Dragons, but it'll take you some time.
