Thankyou Mr. Hoodlum. Lords my back is sore! arrrg. Ok, I'll skip the pleasantries for now.

I can't tell you how greatful we are you are willing to listen to us. We really don't know who esle to turn to. Frankly we're getting buggered by our partners and we have no way out of it. I never approved of how quickly our previous president signed up with Planetform and now I see my worst fear coming true. I've already mentioned our problem with Waverly here and though he is a great friend, he is but one man.

Hoodlum your reputation precedes you. Its said there is no cargo run you aren't willing to run if its profitable and that is why I am here.

Uhh, Miss? Could we have a pot of black coffee please?

"Nick call me Jay, all me friends do ... Sophie dear, pot of the best Guatemala Elephant for Mr G. Man of
taste obviously."

Pops here has mentioned a bit of the old woes going down in your neck of woods, now how can our boys
and girls be of service to ya ? Always ready to do our bit, for the right people, and recompense of course.
So old chap, spill the beans." ...

OOC: Apologies for taking off Pete's hat briefly.... hopefully it'll never happen again. But.... in just a few short hours, how could everything turn to sh*t???? I say we take a leaf from our alter-egos' books and just settle down with a glassful....

IC: "Jeez maybe I shoulda brought a dart board in... Seems like the missiles are flying lately, and their carrying alot more megatonnage than some pissy nova. Anyone needs me I'll be scrubbing out the reactor of my ship, where the air is much cooler."

Gideon:

Mr. Hoodlum, it all comes down to Dueterium and Prisoners. Damn Gaians are filling the stockade at Harris too fast. The Bretonian fleet there is running on fumes, the Kusari smell blood. We'll no doubt see increased pirate activity, petty vultures with gunboats no less. We will double your money for Dueterium from o49 and the Bret police is paying top dollar for Harris prisoners at BPA Newgate. We will be on hand to complete the transactions at both locations.

If you have any extra muscle in addition to cargo capacity I suggest you bring it too.

We have a few people on leave at this time, so I'm hoping one or two more will show on the right side for a
change ... Running the early shift meself, universal time here. Crew is down in 49 now readying the bus ...
Epsilons have been notified, got word to the LSF too.

"Bloody hell! Sophie, top-shelf please....

First I get late to the Harris drop and miss out on a sh*t load of credits.... and now I read in the news the universe is gonna end a second time.

I thought we had this thing licked last time round.... it's de ja vu all over again.... these effing space-time phenomena should be outlawed. Looks like we're gonna be out of business after all."

Pete... why don't we open a Restaurant at the End of the Universe?

I'm confident we will be able to push it back and forth through timespace continuum by making a rift here at Newark...

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov
The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor

"Hey shutters ain't down yet, plenty of alcohol left in the place and apparently all the ships are carefully
tucked up somewhere safe and sound now ... Comforting thought.
Just need to get some good news today ... Sophie, set em up, make em large, keep em coming." ...

The doors swung open again, Sophie walked in. The cleaners had been doing their jobs and all the cobwebs
had disappeared from corners and the ceiling.
Tables had been cleared and cleaned, ashtrays replaced, and new bar mats put out everywhere.
The stainless steel and chrome of the beer taps and coffee machine gleamed.
Sophie moved behind the bar and turned the gaggia on, slowly the smell of coffee started to permeate the
room. Pointing the remote at the jukebox she picked a series of jazz funk tracks and hit the play button ...
As the sound started to fill the room she loaded some fresh ground beans into the brew head and locked it
into the machine. Breakfast was starting the right way ...
"Hope a few more make it in today." She thought out loud. "Been just a little quiet round here."
With a large double espresso in a warmed mug, she made her way to a table and sat, leaned back and put
her feet up.
"Lets start slowly anyway." The music washed over her ...
