I fail to see how having a great RP is reason to give the ship even MORE hurt output. 2more turrets, at the max. powerplant should stay the same, since the nomad form has to MOVE the hunk of metal.
Just because its infested doesent make it suddenly more kickass. its a cruiser mostly, and thus those parts can only be improved so much before its no longer a infested cruiser.
Ah now I understand the Tundra, but here is my opinion and hopefully contstructive idea.
I'm thinking of another game, Homeworld Cataclysm, and in context, the Tundra has been infected just like a 'Beast Heavy Cruiser' correct? I think that the infection wouldn't 'spread' outward so to speak, at least not in the extreme that these tentacles are showing in the first image.
Let me see if I can pull up an image. I couldn't get a good picture, so here is a small video: Infected Heavy Cruiser
That is the style of infection that I am thinking about, but yes, the Nomads are different.
I can see the reasoning and the style that your attempting to emulate with those tentacles on the ship's hull. But aren't the tentacles shoots on the original ships are just used to increase the turret firing arcs? Or is this linked to the Nomad 'growth pattern'?
I am no expert in the Nomads, but to me, those tentacles seem just a bit extreme.
The 'Tentacles' on the Nomad ships are mostly used as places to fire from. (Sorry Tena, no Nomad Porn at this point.) Having its skeleton on the outside, as stated abit back, wouldn't make any sence. It'd be like figthing some kind of warrior in which you step infront of your shield and take the blow yourself, rather than hide behind it to deflect attacks.

A natural exoskeleton? Let me just Wiki a little quickly...
Wikipedia Wrote:An exoskeleton is an external skeleton that supports and protects an animal's body, in contrast to the internal endoskeleton of, for example, a human. Some animals, such as the tortoise, have both an endoskeleton and an exoskeleton. In popular usage, many of the larger kinds of exoskeletons are known as "shells".
Well in this case there is already an endoskeleton, also known as the structural integrity of the Tundra vessel itself. (Endoskeletons are the skeletons of humans and such)
I think, again that is dangerous. I think that this exoskeleton is used to enhance the structure of the Tundra, as stated, with more firing points and a possible way to 'bleeding' shock wave energy from torpedoes and other explosive ordinances, but that is taking reality into account.
My biggest issue with it is that we're spending all this time and effort adding a ship model that ONE person will get to use. It bugs me just as much as the necrosis... sure Dreygon put a lot of work into his roleplay and character, and maybe he deserved a unique ship, but why put in something that is exclusive to one person alone? It's almost as bad as the exclusive factions (nomads/wilde/scra/phantoms), it's like we're promoting an elitist attitude here where only the players who play butt-buddy with the admins ever get ahead.
If we're going to add anything else to the mod, it needs to be available to anyone who wishes to use it. Exclusive factions and exclusive ships need to disappear.
