I'm more than happy with an enlightened dictatorship & see no need to vote on such matters.
If Admin want us to have a say - so be it.
If admin want to promote someone of note without the community's consent - so be it.

I'm just an appreciative player & this is a great mod.

I think Taffic said what I've been trying to say, except he said it in an uncomplicated way.
I see no reason whatsoever, that a "community vote" is necessary, which ALWAYS turns out to be some sort of popularity thread.

I don't know if this is the place for it, and I don't feeling like starting another thread to debate it with Nooblet, So I'll just say my bit and leave it at that.
While I admire Nooblets faith in mankind and in a utopian democracy, I have little faith in said utopian Ideals AND in a working democracy. They just don't work in real life. "Democracy" is not valid here.

Again I point to, this server being a private one, not even IN America. American rules, and rights DO NOT APPLY here.

As far as I can see, No-one has any "rights". They can always have their opinions of course,
but I'd rather not have this mod and "community" run by public opinion, thank you very
much, no matter how Idealistic you want to make it. I trust the admins to do what they need to, to keep it running.
I don't very much like Kane (I can't actually figure out why), but he's still an Admin.

Fact: We are guests here. They are the voluntary doormen, elected by those who own the house.
You pay them respect because of that simple fact. You don't have to like any of them.
You can find fault with any of them. But you sure as hell better listen to them.

If you have a problem with the way things are run, then talk to the House owners, not the doormen.

Cannon has done pretty much all the work in the admin programs that this server, as well as UK, USA and many others are using, yet he wasn't (before now) allowed to use it's full functionality?

He was regarded as a semi-admin, I believe. His responsibilities were relegated to the maintenance of the server and the development and stability of the FLHook commands.
