In fact, don't think that it is a good idea to make a cap ships "ghosts" faction.
If you're wanna get cap ship for your ghost, it means that all of your crew are ghosts too.... how many of them? ~6000 on two Osiris?
Just get fighters for it. It will be more good.

Please dont get me wrong i like the ghosts but you say only BS... it sounds silly maybe limit BS and go for smaller stuff?

Ok seems most of you see some improvment in our RP. some issues to be adressed:

Maybe we would permit the use of fighters bc we are completly helpless with a swam of bombers atacking us.

As for us being Capwhores and just haveing an excuse to blow things up, could you wine about it a lil more please i dont get it enough. Capwhore is getting old peole find something else to complain about. these ships wouldnt be on the game if people coudlnt buy them so deal with it.

We have been around the past month and RPing with everyone in Alpha, Gamma, Delta, even with some Nomads and everyone seems to enjoy it and Rp back very well. most of everyone elses RP is so plane and boreing the same darn thing we are trying to do something fun and interesting and seems to work out so far.

As for having no allies, we were living souls befor working for the corsair and we were destroyed in action. we became ghost to seek our revenge but that does not mean we are still not loyal to the corsairs and there ways "Corsairs then corsairs now till the end".

As for the paranormal activity, our ships are still a physical odject and represent our well being the only paranormal activity could be the piolit of those ships they are infact a lost soul awiating its departure to the next life. if you look at nomads, wilde, i mean crazy thing are going on with them right? this is a huge galaxy i see as anything could be posible.

And for becoming an offical faction that is not our intent (yet) we simply wished for everyone to understand us and get an idea of what we are doing. there were alot of question regarding the Ghost.Ship and we took the step to explain (its more than some people will do) . i hope you all can appricate that a lil.

I enjoy everyones input on our Ghost.Ship group and RP please keep it up. in the mean time we will be tweeking things and making it perfect to please everyone.

I actually sorta understand the reason to only use capital ships as ghost ships, it's just a feeling, but I don't know if it's the reason you guys have.

Anyways, from what I've seen in-game, you're shooting basically anything with human lives inside to get the "mortals" so you can do whoknowswhat. Meaning I doubt you're going to actually get any human allies.

As for the Osiris's, since they're corsair osiris's and those aren't "made" anymore, you'd be stuck using things from .84. Anything from .85 makes people think you somehow got to evora and had humans install those weapons and equipments which make no sence but I think that's too deep rp for most people to follow.

I think with some work this could turn out well, but right now the major feeling seems to be "lolwutosiriscap pvpwhore". (I never say stuff like that by the way, and not exactly how I feel), but you guys have some stuff to work on.

I can't really see this RP working with smaller ships at all.
Smaller ships just... they just wouldn't work.


That said, you're going to have to keep your RP brilliant and inventive to dodge the "OMG PVP LOLSAIR CAPHOAR" tag that is wantonly tossed around here.

You don't necessarily have to kill people to get their souls.
What about trying to take pilots? Tricking people into joining your crew?
Watch pirates of the Caribbean Two, some of those old ghost ship movies and things like that to get some ideas.

As for other RP ideas... You're a ghost ship. You shouldn't really be seen moving about - you should try to stay as hidden as possible, and as far away from anyone as possible until you strike. You could do some interesting RP along these lines. You could try sneaking up on people through nebula while being creepy with RP while attempting to herd them towards you by making them think you're behind them, etc... You could lure them into the Eta minefield and trap them between your ships in the passages... something. Use your head.

There's a dozen and one creepy and less-than-malevolent things you can do with a ghost ship. Obviously, you're going to run into combat with them. But you should try to freak people out by skirting clouds and staying off the plane and just in site whilst RPing creepily and mysteriously.

Perhaps the best thing you could do is instill a sense of foreboding in people, hint at things that are to come, etc....
You don't have to tell people everything, nor should you. You can reveal a little bit at a time, you could be cryptic like the Keepers. Each ship could have a different history that plays into why it goes where it goes, and why it hunts who it hunts.

Maybe you could even RP past scenes of interaction between crewmembers, or the last battle they fought in, or refer to events that happened years and years ago. If you seem to be stuck in another time, that's a bit more creepy.

Again, you should definitely be mysterious.
That's probably the best key to your RP.



It shall take a good deal of work, but I think that it could be pulled off in the end. And it would be awesome.

Youre part of a community. The overwhelming sentiment is - Dont just use Cap ships. It doesnt make sense. Your response is 'find something else to complain about'?

RP doesnt mean whatever you can come up with and justify to yourself.

Why Osiris ? Well contrary to Roleplaying Ghost Ships, the Osiris is spooky looking and the best fitting therefore!, also you call us capwhores the use of osiris is in fact quite balanced!
How so ????

Well Osiris is not the most Powerful Battleship, the Corsairs could use! If we all used Legates which have more turret Points and larger power Core then I guess Capwhore Force would be a name fitting for us! but we are not, hell even our equipment is not tip top !! all I use is cap IV armor and spiegel Universal Armor mk VIII. If we were to be a capwhore force would we not use the Best equipment?

Aswell as the Fact the other day we fought a fleet of RoS bombers and got owned through the nail, not one bomber was gunned down they moved so fast! Seems Quite balanced to me?
And when we go on the Prowl Target ships are Cruisers and Above, NOT anything in sight.

Our vision is to be like the Flying Dutchman or Mary Celeste Of Sirius. What Zapp has estabilished is a Paranormal RP that works. But in no way could it be seen as something of Flying Dutchman Class, however Scary they may be.

As this thread states in its Title *Beta* meaning everything is up for change if need be! We Could include ghost bombers / fighters! I dont mind that but the Essence must be at the very least 3 or 4 Osiris Battleships!
Otherwise theres no point in even continuing this RP, we do not want to copy what Zapp has already done. Maybe something similar but we have our Own Flavour.

This RP is almost impossible to do with anything smaller than a capital ship.
You should be careful about RP, though, since you're using capships.

ya know, the more I think of it, the more I kinda like the idea BUT with some changes.

1st change : your alliances, You would have none according to your own story. You would even have to be hostile to the Corsairs if you follow your original story lines. Harvesters would not be an option either ( And 24 wouldn't be regardless, it's OC controlled) Harvies are machines, they have no souls. They also dont mount Ouja boards to communicate with you.

2nd change: Your ship choices, I can actually see using an Osiris as a ghost ship, But a whole damn fleet of them? Granted, yeah the OC has probably wiped out that many ( lets face it, OC rules, Sairs drool :P) But wouldn't it make more sense to mix the ships up a little, say a couple Osiris, a few cruisers, gunboat or 2, yadda yadda, Would fit more into a ghost fleet role play & make more sense.

3rd change: Limit your numbers, There is no feasible way to come up with a ghost cap fleet of over 5 maybe 6 ships, elsewise, we'll have to call the ghostbusters to patrol the sirius system ( & I really dread a Liberty cap ship ghost hunting party fleet....)

Outside that, structure some good roleplay & you just might pull it off. As I said, I like the idea, just not all the methods.

Seriously though... I primarily fly cap ships for the ability to RP with people, because that tends to mean I can ignore most of the fleas (aka NPC fighters). Note that I said to RP with people... the RP I've had with the ghosts I've run into was somewhat ... odd. But that's also because I had to get into PM and ask what the hell a Corsair Guard ID / IFF'd ship was doing attacking a Harvester - which has no living souls aboard in the first place. (That's the other reason our RP with Nomad PC's is neutral - we're NOT hostile on sight to them because we have no minds for them to detect, and they don't show up on our scanners as bio-units to harvest. NPC nomads are fair game when they attack us, but that's another story / thread.)
