the reason the snac does no damage to the bomber that fires it, is becasue the anti matter goes through the ship it hits. the explosion is just the antimatter that is converted into energy from the matter it touches.

Of course.

Me personally, I take pride in psyching out my opponents. I play mind games during fighter duels, constantly switching tactics and faking people out. This is where I say jousting bombers is acceptable if you know what you're doing. Make them think they've got you and then dodge so the shot whiffs. They waste precious powerplant and you have a ten-second window of easy pickings against a frustrated opponent in a big slow fighter. Don't do this often though as it's extremely risky.

I am not a great pilot nor a great shot. But I've beaten people who should have made easy pickings of me because I made them frustrated and got them to make bad mistakes.


As a bomber with a SNAC, the trick is to be patient. When fighting the bomber, the trick is to make them lose patience.

You know, I love it how bomber pilots are...scared to take damage from missiles. If they launch missiles at you, they are jousting you, so TAKE THAT STUPID HIT, take those 300 damage per hit, take our your shield, but just SN their face.


its all about taking your chance. Risking, if the guy has no MR to finish you off, you can soak up that damage only to bash the guys face in.

I am in America, so I can't PvP.

But on a side note, I actually think SNACKS should be buffed. You need hoards of bombers to do shield damage. (hull is fine though)

See the whole thing is right except there is a explosion of the Antimatter vs matter, destroying itself and anyone or thing in the perimeters.
And its ANTIMATTER meaning will react to anything with Matter. (Ship,Humans,anything that has matter)

You're seriously trying to use physics to justify your balance argument in an online spaceship game?

An awfully specific objection when there's so many other things in Freelancer that are, from a physics standpoint, highly questionable...

Didn't vote because I do not like any of the options.

SN has the right power.:D
However it is way too easy for a bomber to kill a Fighter with a SN :nono:
It is way too difficult for a Fighter to kill a bomber :angry:

And it is very difficult not to joust a bomber. They are way too manouvrable.

So in my oppinion I would leave the SN power as it is but make the bombers less manouvrable
