LSF/Navy got a bigger and more serious fish to catch for now: Rheinland.

Anything actively attacking a base of another faction and refusing to open diplomatic channels should not be treated as hostile and be hunted down, when the faction being attacked has not actively initiated attacking the attacking faction? Is that what you are trying to say?

Apologies, when did that happen to my =LSF= character?

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Nope, it isn't what I'm trying to say.

Aren't you concerned about the full-scale war? Might have a Rheinland spy pass nearby while you're catching up ghosts in the fog. Oh wait, there are more of them... like a whole lot! But no, keep searching for me in the fog.

' Wrote:Has nothing to with the Keepers. As a matter of fact I said it long time ago - I don't mind Order and BHG having missions there, it suits them. Zoners and the rest? Nope. The missions themselves personally I'd rather seen described as suicidal types - you don't go there alone on the battleship.

Don't judge intents by the color of the simple linear "affiliation" bar, doing so is quite flat, oversimplistic and quite sometimes mistakenly, it doesn't even reflect the true nature, especially when you deal with subjects like these. Ever seen a diplomatic threads with the Nomads? Nope, and you will not see them. Why? Because those that do - they happen behind the scenes, thanks to the countless metagamers just waiting to spoil the mysteries and conspiracies the next moment they, the players of that type, read them.

"the true enemies of mankind" - nice from the Order-type folk title I admit, but it ain't true, save that flattery for the phantoms, please. This ain't marvel/dc comics you know. What goes in mind of our characters stays in mind of our characters, and doesn't go into the players level for argumentation on boards.

The mission difficulty should be difficult, but not insanely difficult. Nomads should be a formidable opponent, without being near-unkillable demigods. In other words, about as difficult as a higher-paying BH mission vs. Corsairs (the Osiris missions). Teamwork would be highly advisable.

You make a fair point concerning the reputation/affiliation bar. In that sense, Keepers are one entity, npc Nomads another. But my poll isn't overly concerned with these nuances, since the missions wouldn't be against Keepers.

The "true enemies of mankind" title, in my admittedly subjective and mentally-challenged opinion, fits the Nomads like a glove. My own reasons of why I won't bother to go into, since that would be the subject of a new thread.

I didn't miss it, I just chose not to quote it. Bretonia's been shafted so many times I tend to take threats of bad things seriously these days.

Threats? Heh. I just playing with words and thoughts around here. :-) Bad things happen to us so much that may be sometimes, out of gratitude, we'd like to share them too.

(Glove? Tentacly things...) Must be the other Nomads you're talking about... Speaking of which, they don't answer the phone, sadly, been trying to call 'em for a year already, but to no avail. Family reunion is postponed for indefinite time once again.

Well, if it is not, no problems at all with there being anti-nomad missions being offered by Zoners.

On the surface, very witty. Too bad I run the R&D department and my purpose is to extract technology from The Order and nomads.

It already is far too easy.
I got it in less than 10 minutes with one of my characters.

None the less, in my opinion all of the said factions should have anti-nomad missions.

The Order would be the only guys who would have the intel and skills to track the Nomads movements and predict their locations; It's what they specialise in. Hunters are just trigger happy cowboys pickin fights in the Omicrons. And zoners are too absorbed in their self neutrality to give a damn.

Order - yes. It's just plain illogical that they don't offer missions against the Nomads.

BHG - yes. They are out there for a reason after all.

Zoners - don't know. Sure, some Zoners might be rich enough to afford some mercenary protection for their Freeports (remember, Zoners are a ragtag bunch of people disliking living in House space, not a faction that can afford craptons of lollernauts, cruisers, Whales and GBs without end), but why wouldn't the Zoners just let the Order do the anti-Nomad stuff for them and if a certain area gets too hot, retreat to safer areas?

' Wrote:right now it feels that guard status is too easy to achive in general. - what was meant to be an achievement became a trivial annoyance without any dedication to the faction. - so maybe that can change, too... and in order to gain a reputation without bribes - one must have missions. - from that pov, zoners would need missions against nomads.

PLEASE. Do not try to make getting a guard rep an achievement. People should be rewarded for roleplay, not for boring NPC farming.
