Right, the Vancouver will meet this man!

Soon as I see him next.

Don't name your ship Hessen. RHA has a cruiser named so. But bring back Aachen. You know how hard it is to establish new cap names and Aachen is standing in good books now. You can make her a cruiser.

Oh and I have to agree with people here. Just after reading their names I remembered. Dashiell and co.

One more which I remembered. Megiddo. Very reasonable guy in a big ship.

Flying under radar.

' Wrote:Varyag- I guess a lot of people know him. A cruiser Kapitan of the Hessians. But the most memorable of his deeds are on the RP field, not at the shooting range where he's not a rookie either. I'm sure many RM pilots can testify of his excellent eye for situations. He's not in ganking business.

Gronath- when he was still around it was top notch leadership and RP in Rheinland. With this I mean when he was flying the cap. Malexa is doing a heck of good job there now, but I haven't met the RM caps lately.

Thanks man, and I really miss Gronath... mine and his cruiser had a pretty cool thing going, and he is a great guy.

I was going to make a post about how varyag was the only option and how he was the only cap with real gravitas but now i see that he is the guy who has posted directly above me and that it would look mad homo if i did that right now. at least I have the shield of using the cryer account!

I'm going to have to say, of all the capital class vessel captains, my favorites are Zapp and Dream Theater.

Zapp adds such tone and depth to a normally boring cruiser, and Dream is great and what he does.

If you are ever in Gallia, look for RNS-Guillotine. I could use some feedback on capship RP.

For me, The Lousibourg, and John Petrucci. I've had the pleasure of being in many great RP experiences with the Louisbourg, and can honestly say that he knows what he is doing. Great guy. As for John, I've never seen anyone fly a battleship like he does. He may be my leader, but I couldn't think of another person more deserving of a title like this. Great RPer, beast of a Battleship wielder, and he doesn't like to abuse the power in a way that makes the game less fun for others.

Bangsticks-wise Lancer and, before he had to go and do that, Hylden/Glyphstorm, were just devastating. I used to call myself really, really good - never killed either of them. They were incredible (still are, I should hope).

RP Wise, I haven't been out of Omicron Alpha in freaking ages, and to be frank it's pretty devoid. I'd nominate myself, but I prefer to keep my Dreadnought as in-RP as possible, by stashing it in a gas cloud and logging onto it once every five days to stalk somebody in an unnecessarily large ship, so nobody ever sees it. The Harbinger is definitely a winner, whoever's piloting it at the time, though, and the Tramanto del Sol, on the rare occasion we're IG at the same time, is always a pleasure to lumber with.

And, of course, there's always [RA]PowerFull.

Quote:The Order indies seem to fail the most though:

'OMG Naveee! Shot at it, its red!'

Great job serving Liberty.

*sigh*

It was so much different during 4.84, the order used to have the most respected and 'mature' independent players on the server. Now we've been reduced to a steaming pile of lolwut, and I cant really figure out what drove the change other than us getting more ships.

Anyways, I'll make mention of the other cap pilots that have made a good impression...
Varyag
Gafwmn
Tundra (Zapp)
Mon'star (Dreygon)
Megiddo (only since 4.85, I hated him in 4.84...)
Tenabras (Eternal)
Au'rora (Stewcool)

As for the Harbinger... I've encountered it three times in-game, twice it had a full fleet of escorts. None of those encounters involved an ounce of RP from the keepers beyond "***Engaging!***" - so needless to say I'm not very impressed with the keepers as a whole. The only keeper I like, for that matter, is Kharybdis - do did some extensive ingame RP with my nomad back during 4.84, but he flies a nommie bomber. I've gotten pretty decent RP out of the Wilde though, and hopefully soon out of the Kusari wilde.

On a side note... I am a little disappointed my name wasnt mentioned in this thread =(
